2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Puppy fight ends in stitches Empty
PostSubject: Puppy fight ends in stitches   Puppy fight ends in stitches EmptyThu Jan 10, 2013 3:44 pm

last night Luka and Jade were playing then got into a fight when i yelled at them to stop (which they always do if i tell them to) jade came up to me and i noticed a cut under her eye. It was pretty deep and the first major injury she has had with me Sad

She is at out Vet right now getting some stitches in it. So ill have a drugged puppy later today.

Im hoping that it was an accident and isnt going to be a recurring thing that i will have to deal with. They get along 99% of the time perfectly then they will go after each other randomly. Luka likes to bite Jades scruff and paw at he, jade likes to push him around. I hope that they were playing and it happened and jade got freaked out which started the fight.

More info will come, and pictures.

Klutch has a scratch from someone in a similar spot, we aren't sure exactly how it happen ( we were out of town and a friend was watching them) the spot is small and I didn't notice until the day after we got home. The way my dogs play it doesn't surprise me, but i now will stop all play when bitey face gets to intense.

sending some healing vibes!

Poor puppy Sad , i'd guess it was a accident if it doesn't happen all the time. Maybe Jade pushed Luka too far

I dont know they were in the yard running around while i was studying so i dont know what the heck they were doing. Jade is very dominant and pushes him. while luka is very mouthy and likes to bite and paw, but is very much submissive. But he is a rescue and was a stray from what i know so who knows what history he has to set him off. He loves other dogs i think he just gets to excited when he sees dogs and plays thay he goes to far.
