| So it's been raining alligators and crocodiles here (all the cats and dogs ran out yesterday), and with rains, comes the frogs. So Vegeta decides he likes to chase the frogs in the pouring rain instead of go potty... Anyways, he started going number 2 inside and that's what lead to the going outside to go potty that turned into chase the frogs. When we got back in and he was rolling around in the towel I layed out for him I was cleaning up his poo. I gave him some pumpkin to help harden his stool because it had been a little loose, so it was an easy clean. However when I was picking it up I noticed it had worms in it. I know that puppies poop worms and such, and I gave him a dewormer last week (from the vet, 3 days of 2cc of Panacur) and I was just curious if its normal for him to still be pooping them out. He's 8 weeks and according to the breeder this most recent dewormer should be his 3rd in total. How long should I expect worms to still be there? |

| I would be careful around the frogs/toads. Toads can be deadly to dogs and frogs carry bacterial that can infect you're dog, which can be passed on to you.
As far as the worms, I would place a call to you're vet and get their opinion. |

| From my experience, once they have the dewormer for a day or two they will usually poop out the (dead) worms. A call to the vet couldn't hurt if you're still unsure though. Better safe than sorry! |

| We got our 2 dogs from a barn more less and a day or two after they'd have the dewormer they pooped out worms. Because of the condition they were in when we got them they got the dewormer every 2 weeks for 6 weeks I believe. And we got them at 6 weeks.
Sounds normal, but like others said u may just want to place a call to the vet and ask a vet tech. |

How right you possibly are. Vegeta was diagnosed with coccidia today. I'll be keeping an extra eye out for toads/frogs from now on. |
