Hi everyone,

My wife and I have a full house and I have a question regarding our newest family member. We currently have a 10yr old male German shepherd (Tank), a 4 yr old Pitbull (Mr. Bailey), a 2yr old house cat (Nemesis), and finally our 6 month old Sibe *Natalya) Natalya is our only non adopted animal, we got her at 7 weeks old. She is a beautiful pup and acts like the typical husky very friendly and playful. My question is this she has a good pack at the house and she gets along with other animals great except other Huskies. Has anyone seen something like this before. A Husky that's only aggresive toward other Huskies? She has never attacked another but if I take her to Petsmart and there's another husky there it starts a fur raising bark/howl off that doesn't happen with any other breed or species for that matter. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks John

Is it only when she's on leash? One of my boys comes off as very aggressive when around any other dog if he's on leash. Huskies are very dominant and then them being restrained on a leash makes them want to prove themselves even more.

She's still so young that if you keep socializing her with dogs oustide your home you can probably get past this. Where are you located? There's a lot of Husky Meet groups that I'm sure would be willing to socialize with Natalya..

We are located in Tulsa, Ok. Being a Sibe we almost never let her off leash we want to take her to a dog park soon as she heals from her spay this week. It has happened twice at petsmart. She never shows aggression toward any other breed maybe a playful howl but no barking or jumping. when she was 10 weeks she met a 2 year old male that looked just like her and she hid behind me with a quiet growl/bark. Then a week before her spay when she was getting checked out there was a solid white female that once the two locked eyes on each other they were both very upset and showing teeth. she loves playing with my other dogs and cat. and even plays with my neighbors shepherd/heeler mixes. Maybe it's just the dominance in huskies but I figured she would do better with them then other breeds

I'd definitely contact some members on them and see if you can meet up with some of their dog friendly Huskies at the dog park

There are definitely quite a few nasty Sibes out there, we've had issues at the dog park a few times with very dominant aggressive Huskies. I'd just keep her socialized and you really shouldn't have issues
