4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Thoughts on this breeder? Empty
PostSubject: Thoughts on this breeder?   Thoughts on this breeder? EmptyMon Aug 26, 2013 10:13 pm

So I was looking for breeders near my area and the closest one is this one which is about 4-5 hours away. They look like they have healthy pups but I wanted to get opinions from more experienced owners.

I don't plan on getting a puppy very soon, maybe in a few years when I'm at a comfortable training level with Lycus. I just wanted to start doing research ahead of time as this would be my first time going to actual breeders.

Anyways, from what I can see they seem like fine breeders but I'm a little unsure. From what I can see, they haven't updated their website in a while. The last litter shown was born in 2008. Maybe they haven't updated or maybe they have stopped breeding.

Anyways, what are you guys' opinions as far as looking at them from their website?

Looks like a good breeder to me. The dogs are health tested and shown in different venues. There is no puppy application that I saw but that's not something that matters to me personally.
I love their bred-by bitch Lacy! I love a beautiful dog that is willing to work Smile

I would call or e-mail to see if they are still breeding.

I didn't look through everything, but on first glance things look good. I'd say they are worth looking into. Here's a thread with questions to ask: How to find a reputable breeder

Thanks guys. I'll definitely be looking at that thread as well as contacting them to see if they're still breeding. Thanks for the help.
