2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

So im a bit late posting this but Eddy and I headed out on Sept 21 for what would be our last "summer" hike, weather was perfect.
a centennial peak in Colorado ranking #82 out of the top 100 at 13852 ft. 10 miles, in 7 hrs with 3,827ft of elevation gain and a hr of oh shit what did we get ourselves into.....

http://www.summitpost.org/crystal-peak/153041

here is our track
http://goo.gl/maps/GVFth

if you decide to do this route please take the left blue line to head to the summit, if you go straight, past the lake and then up you are in for some scrambling, if you are alone that is great with dogs not so much....

ok on to pictures Smile

perfect start

Crystal Peak is the one in the middle

old shelter by the first lake ( you can 4Wheel to this point)

frozen water

heading up trail

mini break

the 2nd lake that you DON NOT WANT TO PASS if heading to the summit

if you do pass the lake you end up in this shit of rocks....and i had do deal with Sierra who did not want to move an inch and tried to go back down, i did double the work i should have getting up this section with her Sad

finally a summit in view!

a break above all the rocks

pups beat us to the summit

Eddy on top

peak 10, need to head back for it.

me and the pups on the summit

view back at the lakes

heading back the way we SHOULD have come

still rocky but not as bad

mountain girl

off the rock

back on trail

happy lunch break

im done.....

till our next adventure!
