Husky has bad fur odor that wont go away Empty

We have a 2 1/2 year old female husky that has a bad odor coming off her fur, mainly in her hind legs.  It almost smells like feta cheese to be specific. It just started within the last year. We've done research on it and everyone says to check her ears for infection or anal glands but that's not where the stench is coming from, its her actual fur.  It has started to get worse recently and now the smell is taking over our house.  We have continuously brushed her and have bathed her with baking soda/mint combo shampoo (recommend by the groomers) but nothing seems to work.  We are wondering if maybe changing her food might help? we have been feeding her kirkland brand since we have gotten her so I'm not sure if that's really it.  Please help!! thanks!!

Have you taken her to the Vet yet to see if there is an skin infection, yeast or gland issue? Sometimes the secretion from the glands can make the surrounding fur smell bad. Considering that it's coming from that general area, and has gotten worse, it might be a good idea to check with the Vet.

I had a similar issue with Hayden last year, but it was around his neck and smelt like baby peaches or spoiled milk! I tried everything!! After he blew his coat he was fine and it went away on its own. It was the weirdest thing!

My dog had a similar issue, although she was showing other symptoms as well- it turned out she has hypothyroidism. I agree with the others- it wouldn't hurt to check in with the vet. It could be a skin infection or maybe even hypothyroidism. The husky/malamute breeds are really susceptible to hypothyroidism. Just my two cents Smile
