1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

EPIC FAIL **Recording moment Empty
PostSubject: EPIC FAIL **Recording moment   EPIC FAIL **Recording moment EmptyFri Oct 27, 2017 1:55 pm

Just want to share the most EPIC fail recording moment ever!!Mad

I was really trying to capture a special moment from Kota because my bf came back from his 2 month TDY (temporary deployment) in Dover, DE.  He thinks that Kota doesn't really care if he was gone or comes back and believes that she won't be as excited as if I left for that long and came back.  He doesn't feel that she would miss him. (That is because she is a momma's girl. Very Happy )

Keep in mind that we got her her only since beginning of May 2017. He left mid-August so she has only been around him for about 2.5 months. He works odd shifts and I work at home so I am home with her all day and every day. Even when I have to go back to the office for visits, I take both of my dogs with me to stay at my mom's for a few days because of his 12 hour shifts. With that being said, the time he does see her is very minimal which is why he feels that she won't miss him. And when he is at home and off from work, she tends to follow me around the apartment more.

Well, yesterday proved him wrong. I went to pick him up at the Travis Airforce Base in Fairfield, CA and came home. I told him that I will go in the apartment first and got my phone on video to get ready for recording.  Came in and as usually, she just stares at me behind the couch. The lights were dim so as soon as he came in, I noticed the recording was very blurry. She was soooo excited to see him. I was finally able to get to the dining room light to get more lighting and it worked out so much better. She was doing her zoomies and was so excited to see him. Gave him a lot of tail wagging and kisses. She remembers him!  When he started to howl at her she started to do the same. She has never done that before.  She is a quiet husky for most of the time. So I wanted to record this too. After all that ordeal, I went back to look at the videos that I recorded and realize that I had stopped and started the recordings at the wrong moments!!! Ugh so it didn't record the moments at all.  So mad at myself!!!

Hmmm. Maybe I should tell my bf to go on TDY again lol. Jk.

I really wanted to hit my head on a brick wall!! Sad

Have any of you have any epic fail moments of videos and pictures to share that we can all laugh about?

I never have any luck with recordings. Usually because of something the background. I'm that person who wants to record a nice moment with their dog outside and then someone else's dog is taking a crap in the background or my husband has the tv so loud you can hear whatever dumb thing is being said which detracts so much from the actual content. I think that's why I don't take much video. My dogs are like velcro animals too so getting good pictures of them away from me isn't easy as well. Too many pictures with my feet in them. No one wants to see my shoes, even if they are totally adorable.
