| On September 16, 2012 the Concord-Merrimack County SPCA is hosting it's 17th annual Walk For The Animals, it includes a 1 or 3 mile walk, there's raffles, prizes and the great thing is all the money goes to the animals in the shelter for spay/neuter, microchip etc. I've done this walk before and it's an awesome event!! We are going to take Luna and if anyone else is in the area we would love to have you on our team!! |

| Maybe, there will be a lot of people there and you don't want to give him/her sensory overload. But maybe we can schedule a puppy play date soon! |

I would strongly advise against taking a young puppy to an event like this until it has had all of it's shots. I'm not sure how things have been in the NE, but we have had HUGE Parvo outbreaks down here in FL and a good friend in CA lost his puppy a couple weeks ago to Parvo. People will show up to that event with unvaccinated dogs and will only put your puppy at risk. You will be best served to stick with private play dates with known dogs until your pup gets all of it's shots, which is usually around 16 weeks old. Definitely better to be safe than sorry on that one. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Yeah she's outside of breed standard for height, and probably will be for weight as well when she's done filling out.
