Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| So I started thinking about the unique talent/talents our huskies have and have decided that both of ours has at least one. Sierra is our scavenger as she will find food any where even buried under 6" of snow. We will never starve with her around. Jack is our watcher as he sits and looks out the window all day and will let us know if something is happening out side. we will never be caught off guard with him around. _________________ |

| Talent, huh? Hmmmm...
Does the ability to irritate count? Nanuk is great at that!
Sisi is a #1 mole catcher! No rodents in our yard. She is helped by her ability to dig deep and quickly!
And our Mika has the ability to spot a squirrel up in the highest point of our high tree. She is talented at capturing the eye of people at the Pet Store, with her gorgeous face and disposition. She is also a power eater! She doubles as a piggy, so she would maybe be considered an impersonator?
They all sing, but unfortunately never in harmony....
The only thing they all do very well is chase away the blues. They keep me smiling, that's for sure! |

| Evo has a love for flipping our crazy cat down the stairs...Our cat, Coda, lounges and suns himself at the top of the (carpeted) stairs. Evo walks up behind him, nudges his nose under the cat's bottom and sends him tumbling down the stairs. Evo then will look up at us with the sparkle in his blue eyes and the big grin that says, "Did you see that?!?! That's just freakin' hilarious!" Coda gets up, runs back up the stairs and goes back to lounging. What a pair!
Would you call that a talent? |

| Ridik can walk backwards. Sioux can get along with any dog, even dog aggressive dogs. Coco can stare down any dog. Bubba knows when someone is lagging on a hike. He exists to go check on people. Lastly, Tambi can almost catch birds if she is off leash. That's about it.
But the biggest thing is Ridik can almost communicate with us. The way he shifts his gaze from the person he wants to the thing he wants. If he wants dinner, he comes and stares me down the goes and stares at the door where the food is. Crazy animal, we rarely have a doubt about his thoughts. |

| Umm Sergio's ability is to annoy his brother Robi. And Robi has the unique ability to wake me up for work at 6am. He hears the alarm clock (I dont hear it) and he will jump on bed trying to set it off. Believe me , when its a Great Dusky (great dane and husky, just made up name lol) its painful enouph to wake up. |
