Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

PostSubject: Houston get together - H2H2   Houston get together - H2H2 EmptyWed Feb 27, 2013 9:13 pm

For anyone in the Houston area... We will be there, should be good!

**********

It is OFFICIAL - the H2M2 is coming to Houston for our INAUGURAL Event on March 3rd, 2013!

Here is a little history on the Husky Huddle and Malamute Mingle. Our charter group began in Colorado and we have since expanded into Dallas/Fort Worth TX, OK, WI, FL, MD and OR. We will soon also be in Indiana and the goal is nation-wide! We are happy to say that CO and TX are now at 600+ members and OK just reached the 200 membership milestone!

The main concept behind the formation of this group began through the love for these magnificent Northern Breeds and the desire to see them interact within a pack setting and help them socialize, huddle and mingle on a regular basis. As you know, they have their own way in which they play and interact!

We also believe that our LOVE for Northern Breeds BEARs all things: We strongly support Breed Education, Awareness and Rescue. Our groups have helped to re home many pets who would have otherwise ended up in shelters. We also have assisted in re-uniting Lost pets through the sharing of information in the groups. In addition, all of the groups have STRONG ties to Husky/Malamute and Northern breed Rescues in every state that we are located. We do not allow postings for the sale of puppies or dogs for studding/breeding purposes.

Although the event is free we hope you that will support our PAWS 4 A CAUSE.

Our March PAWS 4 A CAUSE: Husky Haven - Houston, Texas

You can research them at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Husky-Haven-Inc/151425748230323?fref=ts

About them: "Husky Haven, Inc. is a Houston, TX based non-profit 501(c)(3) comprised of individual volunteers dedicated to rescuing and helping Siberian Huskies. Most of the Husky Haven dogs are pulled from animal control agencies and kill shelters in and around Houston. Husky Haven is not a shelter or a kennel facility. The dogs are fostered by volunteers until they are adopted. Volunteers and donations are always welcome!"

They will also have some adoptable huskies in attendance so please share this if you know of anyone who is wanting to adopt.

I am also working with them to get a list of items they could use for donation...so stay tuned for more information soon!

"Giving is the GREATEST form of LIVING." 2gether We CAN make a Difference!

RSVP today and spread the word to anyone who is owned by a Siberian Husky /Alaskan Malamute or Northern Breed….we can assure you that the FUR will fly and YOU will have one HOWL of a GREAT time!

********************************************************** REMINDER: H2M2 strongly recommends that puppies have gone through the entire cycle of vaccinations including rabies and bordatella as a precautionary measure and for the safety and well being of your pup.

We do NOT allow aggressive dogs or females in heat at our events. Every owner is responsible 100% for their own pet.

In addition, there should be no toys, treats or food as it could create issues among other dogs who may have toy/food aggression.
