So this morning as I got up to take my son to his basketball practice...we noticed someone had thrown a tube of thumbtacks into our yard!!! The dogs of course had to have gotten ahold of it a tore the tube apart. There were tacks all over in the grass.
Poor baby Karma had one stuck in her paw..luckily no one else was hurt!, and we were able to pick them all up. I am so angry that someone had done this..
and this is the second strangest thing that has happened in the past few weeks. About two weeks ago I found a whole ego waffle drenched in syrup, that was thrown on our front lawn. My dogs are never out in the early morning's or they would have eaten it. I honestly think some bratty kids are throwing shit in our yard...could it be someone is trying to hurt our dog's??

We don't live near any weirdo's...but I think it's some bratty kids.

It could be kids, but it's hard to tell. Are there any in your neighborhood that you would suspect? The food in the front yard could be someone throwing trash out as they drive by. The thumbtacks seems a bit more sinister, especially in the back yard. Do your dogs bark a lot? I was wondering if the thumbtacks could be a disgruntled neighbor.

You can start reporting suspicious activity to your police station. Get a record going so if anything serious happens (hopefully not) the police won't ignore it and act.

My dogs aren't very noisy. They only bark or howl when the next door neighbor lets his dogs out. They bark at eachother for a mere 5 minutes but that's it. My next door neighbor is a pet sitter, and on the other neighbor has like 5 dogs. Everyone on my block have dogs...that's what makes it so strange? Kato my male is agressive only when the people up the street walk their pits and let them harass my dogs..So I kinda wonder if it's them. They literally let all of their pits come up to the front gate and harass my dogs...I usually have to go outside and say something to them. Not to mention...it's a bunch of KIDS who walk them..

I also forgot to mention...this was the second ego..

I pray none of my dogs didn't eat a thumbtack..esp my pup since she eats EVERYTHING!!

I would watch them very closely when I let them out in fact you probably should check the yard before letting them out. DO NOT let them eat anything throw in your yard no matter what it is I have heard of people soaking food in anti freeze and they throwing it in dogs yard to poison.

Sounds a lot Like something a bunch of stupid kids would come up with. I'd spot check the yard before letting them out. Is it in the yard before they would go to school? If I was certain it was them, I swear I'd throw that waffle back into their yard lol. Okay just kidding . But I'd want to.

We most certainly need to check the yard now before letting them out. I cant believe ppl would do such a thing. The waffles were thrown into the yard before school starts. We do have a bus stop right down the street, so i can bet it was a bratty kid.
The whole antifreeze thing is scary. I should of smelled the waffle just to be sure.

That's scary Shocked Definitely do what everyone else is saying and be extra careful with them. You might also wanna get some webcams to put in the windows or something. We had some creepers last fall and I bought a webcam to put in our front windows ($5 on amazon) to a) deter people and b) record any creepers who did come around. I think that'd definitely be worth it for you guys. Hopefully its just bratty kids like you said, but the thumbtacks are scary.

Horrible people >Sad
If you find out who's doing it make things an eye for an eye (sorry, but anything aimed at my pup will never be taken lightly).
Im not saying try to poison them or anything, but make sure they know you wont let it happen again.
