I have no idea why Loki does this, but ever since we have started swimming with him he is really mad. He will chase you down (swimming) and claw you and bite. if it just him swimming hes an angel. We cannot deal with this, bleeding scratches are painful! He only does it once your more than waist deep, its ruining the fun we want to have with him at the beach.

has anyone experienced this behavior? We are so frustrated. It seems to be getting worse and worse.

I'm just a little curious about something, is he growling or anything of that sort during all of this, or is he making whines and whimpers?

I've heard of something similar with my friends dog but he is a totally different breed.

No noise, Just jumping, biting and scratching. Some of it i think is that he wants to be held because if you hold him securely he relaxes for a bit. When released he flips again

Sounds a bit different that what the other dog was doing, but maybe try a dog life jacket?

My mom was raised with Newfoundlands and they displayed a very similar type of behavior when swimming, but it's not anger. They would always trying to be rescuing you. Maybe your dog things that you're in some type of danger and is trying to get you to come back to shore or just trying to rescue you. Though that shouldn't be typical Husky behavior. Maybe get a life jacket and see if it helps settle him down, cause he may just start to get scared when he can't reach anymore and want's to get on you to feel safe.
