| Once again, such wonderful pictures. Sasha is so full of life and you have an eye for composing a picture. |

| Thank you so much, Amy. I have to admit though, it feels so strange, and makes me unbelievably sad, to post pics not only here, but fb as well, that aren’t Kohdi and Mishka I love this little guy but it’s just not the same. I miss them so much. |

| Thank you Rocio! “Spunky” is one word for him, this dog has no “off” switch! Here’s another facial expression…he gave me when I told him he was driving too fast |

| We used to have a Weimaraner that used to always sit behind the wheel when we weren't the car. She only had one eye. Terrible driver. _________________ |

| Ja, Avalanche does that too. He doesn't get in the drivers seat as soon as I get out but he'll be there when I come back. I've always guessed that it's his way of making sure he doesn't get left. Oh, and @Artic_Wind he wasn't going to fast, you're just getting old! _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| @Jenn…your post made me smile @Al…I realized I was getting old when I got this puppy. I think this will be my last puppy. I thought Kohdi and Mishka would be, and in all honesty, they were the perfect huskies to be my last, it just didn’t work out that way unfortunately. I’ll get a few more pics in while I’m here, I’ve been lagging on taking pics. My heart just hasn’t been into it like I used to. |

| Getting Kasper at 1 year old was more puppy than I was ready to take on. lol. At 2 there's still days where he feels like more puppy than I want to deal with, which is funny because he's probably more chill at 2 than kenzi was at 4. _________________ |

| Hahaha, Jenn…1 year old and they’re probably at their worst so I totally get it. For the first couple months, it’s just a lot of “guidance” but after like, 4 months or so when they’ve almost got the body of an adult but still the brain of a puppy, it’s on! And lasts up until I wanna say 3 or 4 years old. Sasha was potty trained from day 1, I was either very lucky or I’ve had enough experience now that potty training has been non-issue. It’s his “curiosity” and everything that goes along with it that has been exhausting…along with his VERY selective hearing. If his ears wouldn’t move when I talk to him, I’d think he was deaf. He’s very very sweet, funny, cuddly, but man can he get on my last nerve sometimes.
I have to take/post more pics. It’s still very sad for me though, seeing him in all the places I took pics of Kohdi and Mishka. And sometimes he’s destructive in those places and it breaks my heart because I know how much Kohdi and Mishka loved their yard. |

| That picture of him looking around the bush is precious!!
I can't picture someone as young as yo are saying that Sasha will probably be your last dog. I'm twice your age and talking to the shelter about a Beauceron they're looking to find a home for. Is it fair to bring a dog into a house where they'll live longer than I will? Probably not. But to have a dog linger in a (no-kill) shelter doesn't seem fair either. I can give them a time where they're loved and cared for ... okay, granted there's no running 5 miles down the road but we have walks and short trips and lots of lovin' _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

| I figure I will have dogs until the day I die. Now, the type of dog may have to change as I age as I don't want to be taking on high energy dogs with vast exercise needs when I'm physically unable to keep up with their needs, but there's a dog in need out there for basically anyone's level of ability. _________________ |

| @ Al…I didn’t mean my last dog, even though it was extremely tough to get another after losing Kohdi and Mishka, it also made me see, for certain, I can’t be without a dog. I just meant my last “puppy”, I’d be more open to adopting a grown husky for my next dog, should I still be around when that time comes. Puppies are amazing to watch grow up, but the responsibility in their formative years is a lot. @Jenn…I totally get what you are saying. I honestly thought, though, Kohdi and Mishka would be my last. After losing my previous 3 to seizures, Kohdi and Mishka I thought would be my normal healthy pups who lived the full husky life span. I am exhausted from all the sadness and grief after each loss, it just keeps getting harder and harder. A few pics while I’m here. I’ve been taking more pics so I’m probably gonna add more this weekend sometime |

| Love these pictures Jimmy.
Al - you've given me a new perspective on old age and dog ownership. Though, not sure hubby is there. Driving home from his appt yesterday, he suddenly pulled over to side of the road, overwhelmed with grief for Z'ev. I wish that I could comfort him but he truly connected with Z'ev. Even though the was my Velcro dog, he also adored hubby. |

| Thanks Dave he is VERY prey driven, even got his first squirrel a couple weeks ago. He LOVES water too so these ducks aren’t as safe as they were with Kohdi and Mishka. Pics like these are bittersweet for me. Kohdi and Mishka loved chasing around the ducks so much. After Mishka died, Kohdi was out back when the ducks landed in the pool. I got my phone out to take pics as he started to go after them. I managed to get a pic of him glancing at the backdoor expecting Mishka to come flying out to help him like she always did, and the look on his face as he realized she wasn’t there anymore. It broke my heart and I still see that image in my mind even without seeing the picture I had taken. I’m really trying to get past their not being here anymore but it’s really hard. I love this little Sasha character, trying my best to make everything about him and not thinking about Kohdi and Mishka, but when things like these ducks coming to the pool happen, it’s instant flashbacks and I just get so sad. |
