Hi all!! New to this thread. I live in Southern Maine and have been a life long lover of Siberians! Over the past couple of months I have made the decision to start earnestly looking into bringing a new pup into our family. Unfortunately many of the rescues in the area do not have many dogs that list as "good with small children" and I have a 6 and 3 year old! We decided to switch tactics and look for reputable breeders in the area and decided on one who I am so excited about because she VERY thoroughly answers any and all questions I may have as they arise. She currently has two dogs with litters due in the next two months and we will *if all goes accordingly* be bringing our baby home in the fall! I cannot wait. So until then, I will be researching even more and be preparing for our little fur ball. I've been looking for Siberian owner groups in Maine and can't seem to find anything, so if anyone out there is interested let me know! Also, what are YOUR top three must have new pup items? Look forward to "meeting" you all

Welcome! The anticipation must be killing you! I'm down the street from Maine in NH... About an hour away anyway. Let us know if you're ever up for a meetup! Must have puppy items... Hmm. I'd say try to get a variety of toys so you have an idea what will interest him most, including a few good for teething (like the puppy kong). I'm a big fan of crate training, so I have to say that. And somewhat on the same note, I'd definitely get some Natures Miracle for all the accidents! And since collars/leash is an obvious need I'll just suggest the lupine brand that you can have replaced for free if chewed (or any reason really). Hope you guys get your pup soon! Share pictures when you do!

Can't wait to see your pup! My top 3 must have items Nylabone Kong (the hollow dome looking thing since kong is a brand but that item is more well known to be called a kong lol) Clicker super secret number 4 and 5 crate and furminator.

Ah welcome! Maybe I'll have to get in on this breeder stuff since Maine isn't terribly far away from Connecticut... Either way I hope everything works out for you!

I am sooo excited for you! I am already thinking of a second husky, but one of my "husky pals" has warned me not to even attempt another one until I get Rogue trained and out of some of his bad habits. I tried to convince him that Rogue doesn't have any bad habits and just as I was saying that I looked up to see my Roe chewing on the wood at the top of the stairs. Guess I will have to be patient!
