only one place i would send you RuffWear! but they cost $$ so untill the pup is close to full grown (which they need to be to start carrying weight) i would not buy a pack yet. check out our outdoor section for all the info you will need.

I just got Kenzi this pack from Outward Hound and I really like it. It's been easy to put on and isn't as bulky as many of the packs that I looked at from other places. What kind of wear are you hoping to get out of your pack? The one I have isn't army strong but I just wanted something to go on walks with and to car shows. I don't take her on three day hikes or anything.

Did you get yours from the Outward Hound website? Or Amazon? I was looking into getting that pack (in pink) just so my dog has something to do in the summer since its to hot for urban mushing. Could it carry two water bottles? And dose it have a clip to hook a lead to or do you have to use a collar? Oh and about how much was the shipping? Sorry for all the questions, I'm really interested lol. Awesome dog btw! Smile

That Outward Hound one looks pretty good. I don't need it for anything too crazy, just to hold a travel bowl and some water for him on day walks and such. Thanks for the advise, Kenzi is so pretty!

I got mine on ebay for about $30. Ebay: Blue, Green, Orange If you're wanting pink though this site had them cheaper though I don't know about shipping. Chewy.com: Pink

Thank you. I think she's really pretty too, more so when she isn't scowling at the camera. She always gets lots of attention when we go out. She's been a great addition to our little family. I got her her backpack for normal walks to help me wear her out a little faster for those days when work cuts into our walk time. She's been wearing it empty around the house to get used to it. I put a cup of marbles in each side today to gradually work her into the weight. The weight is distributing well and she doesn't seem to mind the pack at all. The saddlebags are removable so you can quickly and easily take them off to give the dog a break on long walks.

Ordered my pink dog pack today http://tinyurl.com/kyaj8qk. They say it will be here within 5-8 days, I can't wait!

I have read so many things about what to start them off with in the pack to get them used to it, what did anyone with a new dog pack first use? Smile

I let her wear it empty around the house for the first week or so and then used marbles for weight since I could add or subtract them easily as she needed. I kept them in the mesh pocket so that they didn't shift the weight on her quite as much as she was going down stairs.

I am planning on getting this one http://www.alpineoutfitters.net/secure/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=109

Little pricey but I have heard great things about it and the one I bought at Petco broke the other day... so I am in the market too!

if your gonna do serious hiking and want a pack to last the outward hound one will not....its a good starter pack to see if you and your pup like it though.

Yes. Considering I'm super low on cash right now, and she chews everything, I think a cheap pack will do lol. Besides, I'll only be using it for walks or going on trips to friends houses and I want her to carry her own leads/toys. Anyway I'm used to sewing and stuff just in case lol.

Dose anyone know whre I can get a low cost tug line for urban mushing? I got one from alpine outfitters like last year and its getting pretty beat up. Or if anyone knows how to make one that will do to lol.

Do they have a single dog line? I'm not sure what will work for bikejoring and scooting or maybe they would all do, I just bought mine from the first place I seen it and ended up paying 30$. Anyone else know of any other sites you can get tow lines from as well? Thank you Ashley for the help.

I have the skijor package tug because it has a bungee in the line which gives the dog a little more give when taking off. If you go on the website and look up the phone number the woman's name is Amy and she's very helpful if you want to ask her any questions on what line would be better for you.

That's where I got my x-back harness from lol. I just wasn't sure how they held up considering it's a two piece line.
