Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

My Mishka will be 4 months old on the 12th of this month. She is growing nicely and training is going quite amazing! We are currently feeding her PMR, which has also been going well. I just have one concern, she seems to be hungry constantly!

She is is getting anywhere from 1.5 to 2 pounds a day. Her main protein is either chicken or duck, depending on the day. She also gets beef 2 or 3 times a week. We tried rabbit, but she said NO to that. Lol

Just wondering if this is normal for her age. I know she's growing like crazy, I just want to make sure I'm giving her the best nutrition possible.

We are introducing venison and goat in a few weeks.

Also, she does have a vet appt. on Saturday and I hope to ask the vet about it then. Just a routine visit Smile

At her age, she's likely to eat a lot more. Also, you have to remember that raw meat doesn't sit in their stomach like kibble does, so they'll be hungrier than they would if they were on dry. But yeah, it's mostly due to her growing and needing extra.

I mean, I'm not doing raw with my dog(yet... Razz), but this is from what I've read personally.

How many times a day are you feeding her? How much does she weigh? How much did her parents weigh?

I dont know much about raw. But i noticed you said u are taking her to the vet saturday. Just know that some vets dont like the whole raw thing. So just be prepaired for that.

Both my huskies have always been major foodies, always acting like they haven't eaten in days. Titan is 4 months now and scarfs whatever I put in his crate. I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless she is starts to look a bit skinny or chunky.

London will easily eat a 3 lb bunny in one sitting if I let her she doesn't self regulate and always acts like I'm starving her. I just check her ribs everyday and adjust her meal either more or less based on that
