Wondering if anyone else has ran into this.  Lucian is a year and a half old, born July 28th, 2012, and still has the majority of his puppy fur.  He has not blown coat at all.  Most I find is a few tufts here and there.  Some of it has come out in patches on either side of his body.  Mainly his sides above his front legs, and a few small patches on his rear legs.  He has what I call his mohawk of guard hairs running from the base of his head to his butt.  Every other husky I've ever seen, ones even younger than him have lost their puppy fur.  I brush him and only get little bits of it out at a time.  So is it normal for him to hold onto his puppy fur that long?

I've put in a few pics so you can see what I'm talking about.  I just brushed him last night, and it doesn't even look like I did.

Loki is 10 months old and still barely shedding at all. When similar questions have been asked, I know others have responded it sometimes takes 2-3 years for the full adult coat to come in. It seems to be different with all dogs, but 2-3 years is consistently mentioned.

Thanks for responding. I looked around on the internet and really couldn't find any info. I'm surprised it takes that long. He just looks so funny with his mohawk, lol. The guard hairs on his back started coming in around the time he was 5 months old. I thought for sure all the puppy fur would be gone by now. Guess I'm in for a longer wait.
