what kind of treats can I give her, shes 4.5 months old. sometimes I offer her peanut butter and she loves it. How about carrots? or apples? bananas? anything else???

You can try those, bite size pieces that she will chew not swallow and no seeds or pits. When I go to the pet store or Tractor supply I look for grain free, made in US, Canada, or South American Country treats, there are a ton, and then give in moderation or when training. The canned pure pumpkin is an excellent treat, as well as greek puppy approved flavors yogurt, (my girl likes vanilla) you can fill a kong with those and or with the peanut butter. Have fun!! Remember to stay away from grapes and raisins, mushrooms, onions, or google a list of foods not safe for dogs.

My favorite treats to use are Stella & Chewy's freeze dried dinners. They are kind of like little dried up burgers, but they break apart easily and best of all, they seem to absorb extra water as they pass through the bowl, so they are great for training without causing diarrhea. I tried everything with Diz and it either didn't hold his interest, or made him sick. A couple of other great options are string cheese and beef jerky (use sparingly because it WILL cause an upset tummy), also very easy to carry with you on walks, to puppy class, or anywhere, a little messier than the freeze dried stuff, but better than trying to carry around a jar of peanut butter! For low value treats (for training in low distraction places), you can just use her kibble. As with anything, introduce somewhat slowly, so you don't cause an upset tummy, all of these you can combine and freeze inside a kong toy which is also something that will last a little longer to keep her busy.

Are you looking mostly for stuff to use for training, chews, or just general things to give her here and there?

For training we use the Zuke's grain free minis. They work well for Gaia and don't cause stomach problems. She absolutely loves both the peanut butter flavor and the rabbit flavor. YMMV, of course, but you can get a bag for cheap and try them out. We get ours from petsmart and amazon.com. You can also use kibble as treats as well, as Jen said.

Neither will offer any nutritional value to your dog at all but almost any dog will eat either one anytime possible.   In fact, like us, they will eat just about anything regardless of whether it is needed or beneficial.  

The carrots will at least offer some mechanical benefits on your dog's teeth (especially if fed kibble) and in the digestive system with poop texture and efficiency.  Nearly all ruffage of some kind will do this when eaten raw.  

Bread is a bad idea all around.

This is what I've gathered from the two threads you've been in today and your previous posts about giving your dog the things you are cooking because he shows an interest in it.

This is not directed at you Eazyb23, obviously, but, if any other new member on the forum wants to discuss this and understand why this is a terrible way to decide what to feed your dog, please, just ask any of us on here and we can discuss it.

Can you please stop replying to my post? Your opinions do not go into concideration so save your fingers the trouble of typing. Or if you're on a smartphone save your thumbs.

All I asked was have you given your dog carrots or bread. I dont know why you get so hyper and go into defence mode. Its a yes or no question. Instead of taking care of your poor and emotionaly unstable husky you might want to work on some compitance for yourself. Feel free to post a new thread on how to acheive mental compitance and I'll be sure to reply with something that has nothing to do with it.

I'm sorry but there is no right to privacy on a public forum so I will not stop responding to your posts because I think they are uninformed and careless. I am giving you sound, good advice on making dietary choices for your dog and trying to understand your motivations for your choices and you are ignoring both, which is fine. I have no problems with you ignoring me.

But, as stated in my last post, there is information about your posts that may help other new members who come here and it is my intention to address the information for them, not you.

And for the record, your personal insults to me and my dog will not be very welcomed here and the moderators should warn you about them. They are completely unnecessary. I have spoken only to the issue of dietary choices in this thread and you should do the same.
