| As those of you on my facebook might already know I entered Simon in a four day Obedience and Rally trial. That is now a week and a half away... Oh boy.
Now I have been working with him a ton and sometimes he is pretty good and other times not so much. My big goal for the trial is to get both of us used to the trial experiance and to maybe get a leg towards a rally or obedience title.
I am super nervous. |

| Good Luck Elise and Simon!! Make sure you post how you go! so excited for you both I totally understand the nerves... I entered with Orion in our first rally show a few weekends ago. We were the freaks of the show, I was the youngest person there by a long shot and I have bright purple hair at the mo lol so we got stared at a lot plus he is the first sibe to be in competitive obedience in NZ in 25 years so you can imagine how many people were judging us from the sidelines. We ended up 3rd in novice I was so thrilled. Planning to make him the first Rally titled Siberian husky in New Zealand |

| So far the biggest benefit has been the motivation to work with Simon a lot more than I had been. It really has been fantastic bonding time. |

| Is this what you're talking about??
I enjoyed the first couple of Husky's - the second one had several - "But mom, you told me to ..." moments.
Elise, what's the dark object sticking out to the right behind the dogs in your avatar, it looks like somebodies knee, but there's no body attached to it?? _________________ “Properly trained, a man can be dog’s best friend.” Corey Ford . |

That is rally and it is one the the things we will be doing. The biggest differance between rally and obedience is that with rally you have signs telling you what to do and obedience there is a judge telling you what to do. Rally is supposed to be a little easier but I honestly don't know yet. I also got the impression that the scoring wasn't as strict. Simon has a backpack on so that's what you are seeing. |

| Good Luck Elsie and Simon! I can see how just entering this contest will benefit you and Simon, as far as time spent training and preparing. I can't even imagine ever even entering such a contest with my crazy little Kiko, even in the far future! Well, he's only 12 weeks old today, but soooooo crazy! When I read your post title today I started fantasizing, lol. Like, some day, some day hehe. Maybe.
I will watch this post eagerly to see how it all goes for you and Simon. Again, Good Luck to you both, and congrats for entering! |

| Today I was able to go do some training on location today and it went really well. However no one was there yet so it will be interesting to see how Simon does when there are over 1,000 other dogs at the same fair ground.
I am super excited and also worried. Keeping Simons attention with so much distraction is going to be a challenge but I think either way it will be a good experience for us. |
