I know my profile has it as Korra but as much as I love that name, my sister said its really similar to her name (Kara) and now I can't get that out of my head and I think I want to change it. Im having such a hard time because I'm so picky but leave me some suggestions for a cool name for my little girl! Here's some pictures, she's only a little over 2 weeks old Smile [url=https://servimg.com/view/19657953/1]puppy - Help me name my puppy!! Img_3310

I had a friend who named her daughter Kara - and then moved to Mexico to teach; needless to say the kids picked on her unmercifully!  (I suppose you know that Cara means face in Spanish?)

What I do when I acquire a new unnamed rescue - and other here have said they do the same thing with pups - is to wait and let them name themselves.  Something they do or some way they (mis)behave or just someone saying something that makes the pup perk it's ears up.  Picking up a list of male / female puppy names - here's one list for Female Sibes and here's another but I like the first one better.

Just take the puppy to someplace where it's nice and quiet and start reading down the list - see if something makes her perk up.

While Kara and Korra aren't all that close, it's nice of you to take her feeling into consideration.

Haha! Is Kara a bad word in mexico or something? That's a good idea, I'm sure something will come along and seem perfect!

No, it just means 'face' - now how'd you like to be called 'face'??

I let my animals name themselves when I get them. It seems to work out that way better. My husband decided he wanted our latest addition to be named Kye before he really met him and its been rough. While Kye suits him okay, getting him to learn it has been a bear and he's been called Kyro much of the time because two syllable names seems to resonate with animals recall better in my experience. Do you have a letter preference or just anything? Perhaps Kallie if you like K or Keiko.

I love the name Freya/Freyja (Norse for 'Lady'). It would be Suka's name if I hadn't let my husband in on the decision. Wink

I dont have a letter preference really! I'm just so indecisive haha, my boyfriend and I also have Finley, Nala, and Cleo on the list. I also like the idea of city names too but can't think of any really good ones! Freya is very cute, might have to add that to the list Smile

I have to go with TwisterII. They name themselves

We loved 'Anya' but to be honest she got nicknamed 'Cookie' and 'Rubber' (she bounced off things like a rubber ball as a puppy) by the kids before she reached adolescence.
