I know it has nothing to do with huskies BUT my husky did help me to achieve it! anyway i thought i'd share my victory with you guys since i'm very excited about going clothes shopping today and not getting depressed and hopeless throughout all of it! i have about 15 more lbs to lose before i'm at a healthy weight for my height and hope to get there by last week of july!

That's awesome! Congrats! I just signed up for Weight Watchers so hopefully I will have such good results that you have had.

thanks! i couldnt afford WW or anything like that. just have a $10 a month gym membership, healthier eating with smaller portions, and a husky to keep me on my toes!

Yeah WW is pretty expensive, but my new job is offering to pay for enrollment fee and most of the start up costs. I only have to pay $20 for the first three months and $16.99 every month after that. They also offer discounts on gyms but I think I am going to keep my exercise with my dogs. I'm afraid if I go work out at a gym, then I won't have enough in me to exercise the dogs.

I've been trying to lose the 6 lbs holiday weight gain and if it's not someone visiting and wanting to eat out, I'm on a business trip where I have to eat out and take out my client.

In any case, I haven't been trying very hard, but since we adopted Storm and I'm responsible for his weight loss, I've lost 3 lbs....bonus!

the pound weight is just a guess haha. i'm just going to keep working until i get to where i feel comfortable in my own skin. but my serious goal is 10lbs before i go to the beach in july. since im getting so close losing the weight is very difficult

Shannon, girl, you look AWESOME!!!! Congrats!!! I know it's hard to keep at it (especially the eating right!) so MAJOR YAYYYY FOR YOU!!! I don't know if they offer cycling (spinning) at your gym, but if they do you should totally try it! It's pretty killer the first few weeks that you do it, but once you start gaining tolerance it's great. I lost 10lbs in a month by going 3 times a week! Not to mention it really tones yours legs!

my gym is so cheap they dont offer any types of classes all they have is weights, weight lifting equipment, treadmills, and other cardio machines. that's about it :\ but for $10 a month i can't complain! i wish i could afford a better gym but i have the outdoors at my footstep so i use that for free!

You and Jenn are my inspiration to work off some extra weight this summer. I keep thinking about it but it's not actually getting done. We need a weight loss thread to keep each other motivated and accountable!

I'm all for it!!! Any motivation is awesome!!! We try to keep our doggies in shape...might as well work on ourselves too..lol

My biggest question is your arms- is there anything you'd done specifically to lose weight there? My arms are my biggest insecurity!

not really...mine are still pretty flabby. i just do plenty of strength training and tricep toning and it seems to be helping tricep dips are really good for it they are KILLER

Woohoo the sub-forum's been added! Now I need to find out how much I weigh so that I can figure out what I need to lose.

I'd think that for the arms doing some toning in the arm muscles would work. Work those biceps and triceps with plenty of upper body exercise.

Cool I get to be the sexist pig, but yeah your looking good.

Now back to the Husky thing, the biggest reason I started with Huskies was the reason that I had no excuses for not taking them out for daily exercise. When I get home from work Adobo & Biko give me enough time for my cup of coffee then bug the heck outta me until I finally put on the hiking boots and cut some tracks.
