Well, as a matter of fact Jif and most peanut butter is safe for out pups but I found out recently that some brands are using Xylitol as a sweetener in their products.
Peanut butter brands that contain xylitol include Go Nuts, Co., Krush Nutrition, Nuts 'N More, P28 Foods, and No Cow (formerly D's Naturals)
XYLITOL might also go by other names, including wood sugar, birch sugar, and birch bark extract which begins to sound like deceptive marketing considering that number of us who use peanut butter as a treat or to fill a Kong.

As always this is a case of knowing what to look for and looking at your labels.
