Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. | This website (Warning: Be sure to swallow whatever you're eating/drinking so you don't spit it out all over your computer) http://www.freewebs.com/wolfhavenspiritofthepast/ Wolves are actually lions, people. We've had it wrong all this time... |

| Whaaa? they sell 99% wolves to people?
I don't understand your lion comment, though - i didn't see lions referenced?
"WE HAVE SOLD WOLF CUBS TO:
· Day Care Centers · The Elderly · People with kids that have ADD (the cubs calm them down) · To the blind · People in wheelchairs, so they can help them get things. · The deaf"
Interesting - I know people that used to have hybrids and said they were super high maintenance and hard to train. It's hard to convince a wolf that it's in his best interest to do something. Hmmmm.... |

| I think the lion comment comes from this:
WOLF HISTORY
The wolf is the lion of the North. They are called that because they are descendants from the same lineage as lions. (56 to 38 million years ago)<---- this is my own addition to shed some perspective Their eyes are that of a lion brown color and a thick mane runs around their neck and down their back. Females have shorter hair than males. They also have a cat-like bone structure. They can collapse and dislocate their joints.

| Only Texas would legally allow pet wolves... (no offense to any texans....if you're here, you've got huskies ) I don't care how loved, house raised they are...they're still wild animals. Our huskies are several thousand years removed from the wild and they still have a significant prey drive! Oy vey! |

I was referring to their facts and Tidbits page under Wolf History. Kim provided the few "facts" on the page I was talking about. Oh and they're definitely NOT real wolves. Maybe some are hybrids but I see mostly Siberian mixes and Alaskan Huskies. Just a BYB slapping a wolf label on their huskies so they can swindle ignorant people and make a few bucks. |

Some of them do look like wolves - a few have small chests and very long legs, and some of the muzzles look wolfy. http://www.freewebs.com/wolfhavenspiritofthepast/apps/photos/photo?photoid=138823091 http://www.freewebs.com/wolfhavenspiritofthepast/apps/photos/photo?photoid=138822862 |
