I'm trying to network this guy on Facebook - he reminds me of Mickey! Wish I could have another dog!

What do you guys think? GSD mix like listed? Or black/tan husky?

Dude - I totally would. Hubby just said "Don't turn this place into Dogville. Do you know long it took getting this pack in order?" hehe

There's also a black GSD I'm trying to get fostered/rescued by paying his impound:

Chili would NOT be happy with another boy in the house. hehe. I would foster if I worked from home and could watch them myself...

LOL Embry would kill me if I brought home a male, even though I plan on it in the next 3 years Razz

I feel your pain with getting these dogs homes. Embrys breeders moving in December and I'm trying to help her rehome all but 4 of her Sibes. 1 down, about 5 to go Black/Tan husky? Lucky the Jindo available in LA! 1625187496

Yay - good luck on the dogs! Two close-by cities just outlawed pet stores, so we're halfway to saving all the dogs! California euthanized 500,000 animals last year - isn't that crazy? Just jacked my own thread. hehe

I'll wait for Kristina to weigh in on Lucky, since she's the black/tan expert! Smile

That's awesome! We only have one pet store in the area left that sells puppies- they've been around for years, I really hope they get shut down soon.

By the small photo I wanted to say mixed because his muzzle seemed shorter and rounder... but when I made it bigger now i'm not so sure... I guess the only way to REALLY tell is to go down there... Wink

Yea he looks like either a Rottie or Akita mixed with either a GSD or a Husky. Either way he's a stud! Cool

Thanks for the input, Kristina!

I'm going to keep my eye on him, he just got listed yesterday and may get adopted on his own. I'm already networking him on Facebook, but will contact rescues if it gets close to his PTS time. The shelter website says he's 8! So hopefully someone adopts him.

Brooke, he's a total stud! Smile

Gorgeous dog! I hope someone adopts him.

I am shocked at how many animals get pts each year. There is a rescue near here that does runs down to California to get dogs from high-kill shelters and bring them up to Canada. They're called A Better LIfe Dog Rescue. I don't know them personally but I think they have hearts of gold because although they are for dogs, recently they have also been trying to rehome a wolf hybrid, a cat, and a mule (not all together, obviously!).

Ok! Turns out that he's a Jindo! I emailed him to Chili and Frosti's rescue and they confirmed it!

Within a couple of days networking on Facebook - I was able to find him a short term foster and a Jindo rescue to network him and pay for everything! Smile Yay! Two Dog Rescue and his foster mom Ruby are lifesavers!!!

I broke him outta jail on Tuesday night and drove him a couple hours north into the desert to Ruby's house. He was suuuuuch a sweetie. He mostly lay down on my passenger seat and enjoyed my petting. He's in fantastic physical and psychological shape, and doesn't seem 8 at all! Jindos are so similar to huskies, except they do guard the house.

He leans into you when you hug him and loooves attention. He's so incredibly sweet. He got attached to me after only a few hours and even followed me to the bathroom at the fosters house. He's now bonding with her and sleeps on her feet! Smile

If hubby didn't cut me off, I would have taken him home. I was sad but happy driving away from the foster's house - and I missed him on the lonely drive home. He's an incredible dog - please share his info so we can find him a forever home! Smile

I saw that too! They mainly take small dogs. They just did a run yesterday, i believe! Rescues do such incredible work and I try to support and network them as much as I can! Smile

Yay! Well done for getting him out and finding a foster home. I hope he finds a forever home soon. He looks like a lovely dog - very calm and friendly, and beautiful too.

I got updates on Lucky! The did fantastic at the vet and gets admiration everywhere he goes! He hasn't met a person or dog he doesn't like yet - and it's so funny - he's still romancing the lady dogs, hasn't realized he's neutered yet (he got neutered earlier in the week). Awww...I miss the little guy already! Smile
