Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hi! I'm Judy and this is my little guy, his name is Rocky, he's not so little anymore (I'll have to post an updated pic as my avatar soon!) We're from the suburbs of Chicago and he's 6 months old now, I bought him for my dad as a birthday present last October as he has always wanted a husky and he's been an awesome addition to our family. I'm so excited to have found this forum and I look forward to learning a lot about this breed, so that I can keep Rocky as healthy as possible Smile

thank you! that's what caught my eye right away, I wanted to name him Bruce (like bruce wayne from batman) but i did buy him for my dad so I let him pick the name. Your Cali is beautiful! I love her color Smile

Thanks, Cali gets alot of attention because her colors. It's funny that they say HE looks great. I look at them confused because she has a bright PINK harness on...hmmm- yes she is. If you are ever down in Indy, send me a message.

Welcome! It's great to see the sudden influx of IL members, and I love Rocky's mask!

I live in FL now, but I grew up in Urbana and my parents live in Shorewood now. We bring the dogs up there from time to time... we should arrange an IL meetup sometime.

thank you! I must say everyone on here have some gorgeous & dapper looking pups as well Smile I will be posting more pictures up hopefully in the near future, I'm looking to get a new camera soon!

Kevin- thank you very much! I will definitely message you if Rocky and I are in the area!

Meredith & Aaron- that would be really cool Smile Rocky hasn't socialized with any huskies at all since I've gotten him, the majority of the people in my neighborhood have dogs but no huskies.
