I wish I could have taken pics or video but it turned out to be to hectic. But I took Thor and Nero to the doggy beach today for the 1st time. Nero was scared of the water the waves were kinda big Thor did not know what to really think. But after they stop wondering if the log was going to bite them they seem to have enjoyed it. Thor tried to eat the log, the seaweed a man-o-war and the sand...lol Nero would run up the beach when the waves came in but if I called him to walk out with me he did and would get wet. Thor stood in the water and would turn sideways and let the wave hit him and run up the beach. Thor was having so much fun he did a number 2 right as a wave was coming I could not get him out of the way in time and it knocked him over...lol he was smiling..lol Needless to say the wave took the mess out to sea...lol Hopefully next time I will be able to get pics or video.

That sounds like such a fun experience ! I die every time Atka does something awkward so I would have really enjoyed seeing Thor get pummled by a wave while taking a poo ! hahahaha

It was funny to see....lol I think the waves may have made Nero stop and think also. There was a point before we left he was barking at someone . We were trying to break his focus on the person an every time he let out a bark a wave hit him. After about the 4th bark he stopped. As a matter of fact when we left we walked by a bunch of people and a small dog and he didn't even look at them...lol I am hoping to go back next Tuesday again. I may have finally found a good training tool... Ocean waves

Jealous! Mya LOVES the water! I wonder how she would react to the beach. There's only one doggie friendly beach here, but I don't think I would want to go in the water. It's not the nicest. Plus, it's not enclosed so can't let them off leash Being in Miami you would think more of the beaches were dog friendly. Sucks!!! Glad that they had a great time!

Thanks I know I am only about an hour and a half north of Miami you would think with all this coast line there would be more. I stumbled across Walton Rocks looking for a dog park in this area a while back. Needless to say there isn't one. But Walton Rocks is the only doggy beach here. It's not enclosed and you can go leash free but we didn't and they have bathrooms and showers. There was only a couple people with their dogs off leash. There was only about 15 people there also we were able to keep Thor and Nero a very good distance from everyone almost like if we were the only ones there (except for the couple of people that walked by)
