1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Corpus doesnt have one. After talking to some of you, i decided to create on. Literally minutes later a "husky huddles & malamute mingles posts the same thing but "showing" me up by using a widespread meet up instead of creating her own.

She also did not even e-mail me!

I'm offended alittle bit, should I be?

Or should I just push back harder?

What happened exactly? Where did you make your event? On a husky huddles & malamute mingles FB group or a different place? Was their meet up for corpus or all of texas? Did you make an actual event on FB or just post that you wanted to have one? If you just posted and then they made an event out of it, maybe she was just trying to help?

Husky huddles says its only texas chapter was in dallas. I was making an original cc hsy group. Literally MINUTES, afterwards, her post came up. And i messaged h2m2 to find out if they had a meetup here and they told me no.

I suggested a location and wanted input on avalable daes etc. she did not set up a definite event either. Only, posted she was creating a H2M2 , that she was the HHMM coordinator, that shows she hasnt done any research on t and then went on to talk about if they joined they are groomers and give huskies discounts.

While i understand using a well nown meet up, it was shady because she never even emailed me. That to me was rude and to e already sends off trust and control alarms.

You don't have to do HHMM. Sara started (or took over) her own and I followed with mine. We have a HHMM in FL but its no where near us. You don't need them to start your own meetup group Smile

I emailed the creator of h2m2. She apologized profusely and said that she didnt know I hadvalready created a group, only that she was trying to elaborate on what I wanted todo and help get a group going. I may have reacted prematurely, but as i told her, since I got no eail, i could only assume it was because she was trying to "outdo" me.

She suggested that we be co-coordinaters, which I have no problem including other people to help get it running.

I still prefer having an original group, but i wont object to talking to her, and i realize that if i want this thing up and running a wide known group may be better to get things going than. Local unknown group.

Tiffany,
have you talked to Frank the "creator" of H2M2? he is in the texas area and im not sure of this lady your talking about. i took over the original H2M2 in colorado after Frank started the group then had to move to Texas, he has since started groups all over, i never talk to him about anything we want to do in colorado group

I've never seen it as HHMM though until she put that.

anyways,

I know she isn't the "creator" I meant that she was claiming to be the "Creator" of a local chapter of it.

Either way, I THINK it has worked out, but I will be keeping my eyes open, just in case.

It wasnt about who presented it, it was about whether I should steer clear of her or not.
