| Went to our first outdoor show with Elara this weekend. We won our class on Saturday, but that's not hard when no one else is in it! lol. But didn't go any further.
Today though, Elara got her first AKC point!!! I'm so happy! We were the only class bitch there, so we had to "crossover" and beat the boys and we did! Elara's first Best of Winners. A champion won breed, but I'm just happy we got our first point. And technically we beat a champion. The couple who brought the two dogs (btw, in show lingo dog=male and bitch=female) only needed to get one more point on their red and white for him to become a champion. He got his last point yesterday under a different judge. Today he actually lost to their other dog and then we beat that dog, so it's kind of like we beat a champion! lol. The lady was nice enough not to move up her dog after he became a champion, which she could have and then we would have earned no points since there has to be at least 2 class dogs or 2 class bitches to get a point. But since she didn't move her dog up with the other champions and only go for best of breed, she ended up getting another point on her other dog and then Elara got a point by beating him. So win win!
I don't have any pictures yet. My friend took some pictures, but on her camera so I have to wait for her to upload them and send them to me. I also got a professional photo taken and will post that once it comes in the mail which will probably take a while unfortunately. _________________ -Sara  |

I think I'm going to take her to one in June. There are 4 AKC shows and 1 IABCA shows I want to take her to this year. And when I say shows, I mean show weekends. Like IABCA has 4 "shows" in one weekend and AKC usually has two, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. _________________ -Sara |
