Does anyone use musher's secret for their dogs pads? How is it for warm pavement? I do urban mush mostly trails, but this does happen.

I have some but I havn't used very much. I know its supposed to help against snowballing, salt-burn, and protect against hot pavement. Whether it works or not Chloe likes the flavor. It's even supposed to keep flies away.

We use it....If we bike/scooter/run with G&S, it's not for very long distances and we try to stay off pavement. We mainly use it the winter to protect from the salt and snow doesn't ball up in their paws.

I don't use that brand (yet) but I do use a paw wax. I use it every time I take Bella out on the bike to protect her pads from the pavement. In the winter I put it on her every time we go out to protect from salt that they put down. I love it.

So far, I have been very happy with Mushrs Secret!

We have mainly used the product during the winter months, but I am looking to give it a shot as soon as the temps do warm up a bit!

Soo i planning on buying this along with my rollerblades for when i start with koda. I just read though they help with snowballs on feet. I dont have that problem with koda, but my future MIL, has a sheepdog/poodle. And this winter everytime he went outside he got huge snowballs and it matted all the way up his legs. So if she would apply this to his paws and parts of his legs, will that work?

I use it on all three of mine, even in the yard for the Aussie. Mainly use it the winter to protect from the salt and snow doesn't ball up in their paws. The sibe gets in the winter whenever we leave the house for the salt and ice. During the ice storms this years all three got it as protection. I never thought of using on the aussie long leg hair so I can not answer that but it does cut down on the amounts on paw on top and in between. So it would probably be good for the poodle. I tend to forget to use it alot because if I put it on too soon they lick it off so I must do it right before or after out the door. Then it is all fun and games not licking. I will probably use it more this year for pavement too.

I was just gonna ask how the heck people can use it without the dog licking it off! my boy loves any sort of oil it seems and licks it off before he goes out!

If I do not put in on right before use I put it on at feeding time because they eat and it takes the concertration off of the wax.
