2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Tired of her relentless digging that just started up about 2 weeks ago so I built her a sandbox and she loves it!

Put 15 50lb bags of sand in it. I calculate that Ill need another 16-18 more bags to get it to the level I want, 8-9" deep.
Its 5.5' by 4.5'

wow, that's awesome! We need to get a sandbox to curb Ghost's digging. She'd been good through the winter but is now getting really bad again.

Thanks, Once its stained it should blend in with the deck nicely. I had that spot cleaned out since monday but couldnt get enough time to start building a box until today. Hid treats in the dirt and praised her for digging there and shes been sticking with it and not digging anywhere else. Lets hope she continues to dig in her box. She was just staring at the sand and wouldnt move when I put her in there, She wouldnt even jump in once the sand was in. She wasnt sure what that white grainy stuff was hahah.

I love it! And it looks like she does too Very Happy

I've always wanted to make one for Ava, but we have cats outside too, so I'm thinking that might not end too well...

Wow, that's awesome!!! You did a great job!

I've always wanted a sandbox for mine. I might take the easy way out and get one of those plastic kiddy pools and fill it with sand for them to dig in!

Thanks guys. I originally was going to pick up a plastic raised garden bin but it would stick out like a sore thumb on my property with everything else nicely landscaped. So I built my own box

Shes still only digging in the sand box! Ill bury a treat or a toy every so often so that helps plus Ive found out that since rain water does enter the sandbox that it must bring new scents or its just the damp sand because she goes crazy in the sand after its rained in the last day or two.
