Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

So thanks to Eddy i went and picked up a ruffwear pack for sierra last night (and i did tell her you told me about it) the straps fit her fin but the pack part looks HUGE on her. what do you all think? i think Jack wishes he had one to! and i might keep my eye out for on as this has a strap around the chest and i know he could not back out of this one! the pack looks great cept for a X accross the ruffwear patch so im wondering if it was returned ir something.

Nice pack! I love that Smile The X probably means that it was "defective" for some reason so it was sold at an outlet place (like TJ Maxx for people). I've seen that on things before. However, the "defect" could just be like a stitching is not centered or something.

Nice buy! Smile

It does look a bit big, but you could fill her with soft stuff like coats and other layers. Unless we head off across a stream. One thing you could do (that I had to do with another one because it was massive on Ridik) is stuff the pockets full of grocery bags for poop and then put the water on top. That will keep the bottles from hitting her elbows. Oh, and tighten the front strap maybe an inch or two. The first pic looks like it's barely too far back. Then do the sides. It's hard to really get a good look there. I would need to see her stacked in profile to see what's going on clearly. Still a sweet find, and might fit Jack better if he fills out more like Ridik.

Heh, or maybe the 'x' was because it was labeled wrong and should be an XL.

i was thinking the same thing with stuffing it with my take off cloths and not much water. i don't think i can pull it up closer on her as it looked like the straps were fully up. you can tell me what you think on our first hike or i will try to get a better pic. it might be going to you...
