Help finding Saya new food Empty
PostSubject: Help finding Saya new food    Help finding Saya new food EmptySun Jul 15, 2012 3:40 pm

Good afternoon!

Well I feel like I'm at a loss here. I brought Saya from another country and I had to switch her food abruptly. The royal canin I was feeding her is not available over here. So I switched it to Wellness super5mix for puppies. As expected it gave her the runs. She has had the runs for almost two weeks now. It is not complete diarrhea any longer, it is more like soft stools. Well her issue is that sometimes she will poop these stools that although not as solid as they should be, they still can't be considered diarrhea, but then 10 minutes later she would poop again and this time is completely diarrhea. I took her to the vet the day before I brought her here and he said she was fine. She never had diarrhea when she was on her other food. It started after I switched it abruptly(sadly I didnt have a choice) I think the food is the culprit. I need some suggestions should I wait a few more days to see what happens? Should I just switch her food? If so which brand of food should I feed her? Also since she still has the runs, Do I still need to switch the food slowly or can I completely get rid of wellness?

Has she been to a vet to rule out parasites? What was the food she was on, if if was a good food maybe it could be ordered on the net?

You could try a bland diet for a few days to let her system settle. Someone hopefully will jump on here and tell you what to feed.
