2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Thank you all for welcoming us! I'm already learning so much from everyone. We have had some challenges with Sep anxiety. It's getting better now but still a long way to go. Any advice on this topic would be great. Does anyone kennel their dogs while they work? Rolling Eyes

I crated my dog while I was at work when I just had Cali, but I upgraded to a kennel that is 30x12 covered with large building w/ a/c for them. I recommended a crate for them though. Just work with CJ to make sure its a positive experience for him!

Good luck

Its hit an miss, most dogs seem to loose their masks and facial coloring. Thats the great thing to me about this dog, they don't stay one way, they change over time. My black and white husky is now black on top of back, white belly, and grey sides.

love the rings, i'd like to see a closer shot of the whole face if you get one. Thanks

Thanks, its hard for up close ones. I am very happy with my dirty face girls, most don't have facial coloring and i prefer it myself. but the color doesn't make the dog.

Adobo & Biko are kept in a approx. 20 X 25 kennel that has been escape proof since I got it.

Aww gorgeous! Yes I have both of my dogs (lab and husky) crated whenever no one is home. They are in the Midwest ICrate size 42, they do quite well in them. I only work 5 hours a day so that is the most they are crated, most of the time less then that when my kids are home. Also they are crated at night.

Welcome and thanks for rescuing.

She's lovely! Dalton has been fairly trustworthy, so we haven't had to crate him, but we do leave him locked in the kitchen so he can't get into too much trouble, and he has the tile to lay on.
On the days when Dalton does get anxious, we found that a frozen Kong with peanut butter, reindeer antlers, and bully sticks do wonders to keep him occupied. Good luck!

Thank you all for your answers and warm welcome! We do crate her during the day I just feel so guilty about it. I guess that's first time doggy mom jitters. We left her out once and she ate the couch and tore the blinds off the wall! She has Sep anxiety pretty bad. I hope one day to be able to just leave her out of the crate and have her be calm.
