Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

hi everyone
I am new to this Nice Site
i live in Baghdad, Iraq and i have a cute siberian husky (female 3years)
she is not active and not playing with toys ball not like my other
husky(female 5 months) which is hyper active and playful
she only intersterd on going to a walk
and thank everyone

My guess would be that your daily temperatures of over 100F are the biggest reason for her inactivity.

I have a crazy 10 month old and since it has got warmer, he has become really chilled out! Or inactive as you put it! It was slightly cooler today and he was back to being crazy Smile

It is probably the heat, if she is still excited to go for walks, I wouldn't worry Smile

I'd agree with the heat, I have a 2.5 year old, a 2 year old and a 7 month old. It's in the high 90's right now and the 7 month old is still super active while the older two would rather just sleep all day.

50 degrees!??!!! Its 20 degrees here, when it comes close to 30 degrees, all Luka wants to do is sleep!!

Can you even go outside in 50 degrees? loL! When I was in America - Las Vegas, it was 41degrees and I couldn't stand the heat!

(50 degrees = 122 fahrenheit btw).

Hehe you should compare notes with the folks in Oklahoma. It's only a couple degrees cooler there today. When Ghost was a puppy last summer, it really didn't matter how hot it was outside, she was insane most of the time. Now that she's a little over a year, she is super lazy. I'm sure you'll notice a change when it starts cooling off in the fall.

Welcome, by the way! It's really awesome to get more international members!
