Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I'd just like to introduce myself to everyone. I've been a Siberian owner for about 15 years now. My first was Kia who I absolutely adored! I still have her son Tahvi now; he's eleven and not doing so well. He has an aggressively growing tumor in his front jaw. I love him more than I can tell anyone... I've done husky rescue with Tails of the Tundra in the past and showed my dogs back in the day. These days we are busy with kids growing up and out of the house. We had a house fire in April that claimed the life of my buddy Jake, he was a German Shepherd/Husky mix and is sorely missed. I've been told Tahvi's tumor is inoperable and we are just trying to enjoy what we have left together now.
Yesterday I went and put a deposit on a pup from what I know is a backyard breeder but I couldn't resist. I don't pick up my white Sibe until late next month. No name yet, but I'm very excited.
Anyway, hello to all! |

| Ai that is heartbreaking!!! I do not want to think about saying good buy to my 2, just thinking about it makes me want to cry. Luckly you get time to say good buy to Tahvi. I wish you all the best of luck. |

| Thank you all. We hope for the best with Tahvi and I can't begin to bear the thought, but he continues to charm us every day just as much as when he was a much younger boy. I hope the new boy has half of what Tahvi is..... |

| Welcome to the forum Where in Upstate NY are you? I'm just outside of Clifton Park. I'm so sorry to hear about Tahvi. That's never an easy decision, but you will know when it is time. Please remember that BYBs will never stop unless we stop giving them business. Working in rescue, I'm sure you've seen the first hand results of irresponsible breeding. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
