| We hope to go on vacation this summer but we are concerned with feeding our senior who has to be fed small cut up portions of raw meat for one meal and either tunafish or eggs for the other. We would be getting a pet sitter and although the younger ones will eat TOTW when they get hungry, our senior won't. To those who feed raw, how do you handle vacations especially with a senior dog? Thanks. |

| If the pet sitter will be feeding the dogs while you're away, can you just leave his food in separated daily portions pre-cut so that all the sitter has to do is take it out of the fridge/freezer and feed it?
Another thing a lot of people do for raw fed dogs with sitters who aren't comfortable feeding raw is feeding a freeze-dried raw alternative such as Ziwipeak or Stella & Chewy's. These are close to raw but don't have to be handled with as much care, i.e. refrigerated. Other options are the frozen/refrigerated premade raw chubs. These are more expensive options but when you figure it's just for the little while that you're on vacation it's not too bad of a financial impact.
When we travel I give my dogs (2 of them are seniors) freeze dried or dehydrated raw. I travel with Grandma Lucy's, The Honest Kitchen, and/or Ziwipeak most of the time. Same goes for if I leave them with someone to watch them for me. I take their easy to travel with freeze dried raw and leave instructions for amounts and mixing. _________________ |

| We recently left our dogs with close friends while we got married. We used J.J. Fudds and Primal pre made raw as an alternative and packaged it individually. It was easy and they didn't mind doing it at all. |

| Moving from NY to FL I had premade raw just for convenience. I used Bravo. To me, it can be compared to having to pet sit a cat and feeding wet food. I can say Callie wasn't as keen on the Bravo as she is on actual raw meat, she did eat it. |

| I have tried the Primal and she does not like it. We have found that she likes a food we found in walmart in a refrigerator in the pet section. It's called FreshPet select. She likes it and it is easy to cut up. She is growing tired of tuna so hopefully she continues liking this. We are thinking of trying a weekend trip to she how she and the pet sitter does with her feeding. |

| My dogs love Fresh Pet too. It's not raw, but if it works then use it. _________________ |
