Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Hey everyone, my name's Gary, I'm from Maryland, and I've had my Siberian since she was 7 weeks old. Finding this forum really was sort of a blessing, I've had a few other dogs, but Huskies really are in a league of their own. My Siberian's name is Annabelle, but we all call her Bella for short. I suppose she acts like a normal Husky at her age, all the exercise in the world doesn't knock her out! Her latest favorite activity seems to be grabbing a log off the pile, rolling it down the hill in our back yard and chasing it down LOL. That is when she isn't chasing deer all over the place. Hope to get to know you guys, any kind of advice I can get would be great. Take care guys!

~Gary

Welcome! Can't wait to see more pictures of Bella, she's adorable! How old is she now?

I'm moving up to Maryland next weekend, and I've been working with a couple other members here to start a Maryland meetup group. We'd love to see you guys out, and we're still planning our inaugural meet. Check out our Facebook page, and I'll post more info here on the forum as plans solidify.

Welcome! Bella is adorable! Did you get her from a local breeder?

I'm in Northern, VA about 5 minutes or so from MD and will also be attending the local Husky meet ups! What part of MD are you from?

It's very nice to meet all of you! Bella is 11 months, born on Christmas. This holiday is going to be special, without a doubt! I live up in Frederick, and I'll be sure to post more pictures up as soon as I can Smile

Aww, I love Frederick! My mom is from Catonsville, and I went to college in Annapolis. I just accepted a job at the Naval Academy, so we're moving up to the Annapolis area next weekend. Glad you found the Facebook page, and whatever intel you have on dog parks around there is more than welcome since I'm completely unfamiliar with what's around.
