We have a new addition to our family! We adopted Halligan yesterday. He and Kane are a matched pair, personality-wise. Two big playful goofballs. He seems to be a daddy's boy so far, and we have some obedience to work on. Halligan just turned one on11/29/12, so we still have the puppy stage going on as well. He HATES going into his crate and doesn't come when called, but we have plenty of time to work on all that. It's been awesome watching Kane and Halligan play until they both drop from exhaustion.

I was silly enough to take both of them to Petsmart this morning to get a better collar and a few other essentials for Halligan. They do fine in the car, but when we stopped Kane sailed out of the car and almost made it into the store before I was able to grab his leash. Halligan pulls like a champ, and decided he was going to run after a Boston Terrier in the store. In doing that, he almost backed out of his collar, which resulted in me tackling him like a linebacker in the middle of the store. I finally managed to lead both boys into the training ring and close the door, where I dropped their leashes and put a new Easy-Walk Harness on Halligan and attached a Kong Rope Leash (the regular leash was absolutely painful when he was pulling). The harness made a big difference, but he's still pulling. Again, we'll work on all that.

It was Kane, the black and white we've had for a year, that got loose, thank goodness it was him insteanof Halligan. Halligan isn't much for listening yet an he would've ran forever. Kane stopped when I yelled at him lol

Oh I guess I missed that for some reason I that was Kane b-day.

We're not sure when Kane's birthday is. We know he was 18 months when we got him in January, so we figure his birthday is in June, like mine is lol.

Awwwwwwww he's gorgeous! So glad that he found his forever home and that he has an awesome big brother to play with

I always tie them up in the car so that they don't bolt out. I had that happen with Kody when we first got him. Thankfully he was only about 15 weeks and didn't get very far!

Is this not the sweetest thing you've ever seen? I had just asked my boyfriend if he thought they'd ever calm down and cuddle together instead of just playing, then they did this. SO CUTE.

I secure them with a carbiner lock in the car to make sure they can't get out. Hubby puts their leash handle through the passenger side seat belt, too.
