Does anyone know where I can purchase good nylon rolled collars. I have only been able to find leather. I have had siberians for 40 years and I hate to use flat collars on their necks which flatten their coat. An online dealer would be good.[img][/img]

I use White Pine collars on my show dogs and they do not damage or flatten the coat like traditional flat collars do. I have been very pleased with them.

Try Mes Amis, they are the same collar I have them on my girls right now and they are holding up just as well and equally pleasing results as the white pines Smile

I have been very happy with the collars from them Smile I also LOVE and want to get a couple more of the kennel leads, so easy to slip on for potty breaks at dog shows.

I really want to start showing Yuki so I will have to buy a kennel lead too for when we get into that xD

I got a rope collar for Stark a little while ago - they're good for keeping the fur looking pretty, but there was an instance where the collar got tangled around another husky's lower lip while they were playing at the dog park. So Stark was getting choked while the other husky was trying to twist it off her mouth (which I'm sure was anything but pleasant for her). I would advise getting one with an easy method to remove (the one we had was the type where you put it over their heads and then tighten as needed)

I'm sure it doesn't happen regularly, but just something to think about if your dog is going to be around a lot of other huskies or dogs that generally like to play rough. Smile

No leads on nylon, but if you ever want to try leather I make them. I'd be happy to make a custom rolled leather for your pup.

Does anyone have any experience with these? I want something light for around the house and still holds his tags.

I have Ruffwear's knot-a-collars which are sort of a similar set up, but look much nicer than those IMO. My dogs wear them 24/7.

Angela, in reply to your post, that cot something similar can be a risk with any dog collar when dogs are at play. When my dogs are at daycare they don't wear collars, and I use to do that at the park too until an instance happened when I realized that some people are too stupid to close the gates. Only suggestion I have for those instances is a quick release buckle to quicken the separation process.

What i use to hold the tags on are paracord collars from a member on here, Deb's place https://www.facebook.com/debsbraceletplace?ref=ts&fref=ts

All my kids but sammy have one. I don't use them to walk them unless i need to.

Sorry for bringing this back up, but I was just wondering @HuskyMom09 how long it took for your Mes Amis items to be delivered? Sorry for asking I'm just impatient xD

I just placed my order with Mes Amis. a small turquoise collar, medium teal color and a 6ft orange leash. There are waaaay too many color options haha. $41 shipped for 2 collars and a leash, not too shabby.

Haha I know! It took me forever to choose what colors I wanted for the pups. I ended up going with medium teal for Cloud and large purple for Yuki.
