2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Green Tripe Empty
PostSubject: Green Tripe   Green Tripe EmptyThu Jan 10, 2013 1:28 am

Hello everyone,

I'm quite new to raw feeding. I have a six year old minpin and a 4months old sibe. they've got some raw for the past 2months, but exclusively for the past 2-3 weeks (except for treats). I've been a little indecisive about supplementing. Since I am German, I was also searching some German forums and found that people either supplement veggies or they feed green tripe or other parts of the stomach (that I haven't been able to translate yet). I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find green tripe?

Hi there! Welcome! Are you in Germany?

My dog is having liver issues so I've been very carefully researching his diet. Seems that green tripe has quite a few health benefits. We use canned green tripe from a company called Tripett. Cans are about $1.99 at the store here. We just use it as a treat, not as a whole part of his meal but someone here may have more information about feeding it as a part of a meal.

He loves this stuff. It doesn't smell as bad as some of the reviewers say, but it also doesn't smell good. Wink

Thanks Very Happy I guess that's an alternative. I'd still like to get it fresh though. I'm located near Tacoma/WA. I guess I have to find some of the butchers around here. In Germany it would be easier to find it for me. I found a great company online (greentripe.com) but it's 32$ just for shipping. I hope I can buy it locally... considering my "after-christmas" budget...
