Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I hope I'm Ok here. You can tell me to buggar off if you like. I don't own a husky but found this site through searching Bikejoring which I am taking up with my two gundogs. I hope to learn more. They are being trained up as working gundogs but bikejoring is an activity I can do with them that keeps them fit when the season is over but doesn't collide with any commands they know. Also because my OH is on tour to Afghanistan this year and he normally takes them for 6 mile + runs when he is home from camp. I don't do running I used to cycle with my Collie x every Sunday after my morning chores and we would go upto 20 miles or so. We did this until she was 8. The OH continued running her but her elbow is giving way to arthritis now so he only takes her for short jogs now. Anyway getting back on point. (I can make a bikejoring thread in a mo) I'm Aimee. I live in Nottingham in the UK. I live in a little semi-rural village. I'm 21. I own 5 dogs. This is me with my lot. L-R Sadie - 11 year old Collie x Jack Russell, Pennie - 1 year old Springer x Lab, Me , Louie - 3 year old (in may) Springer x Lab (Lou and Pen are half brother and sister), Jack - 10 year old GSD/Staffie/Lab mix (Foster dog) and Last but certainly not least, Benjie - 9 year old GSD mix. So thats us and I will post about Bikejoring now. |

You are more than welcome here and I'm happy you found our little corner of the interwebs. Having a Husky, or northern breed, is in no way a requirement to post here and we try and encourage everyone to join in. Welcome to the boards! You have a beautiful pack and I hope you can find, and share, what ever you want... Especially anything about joring Have fun, ~Chris~ _________________ Is this about the cake problem? Thank you - I wasn't sure. Some forums can be a bit funny. I joined a shooting one but because I don't actually shoot myself they were less than welcoming. Especially when I put photos up of the Clowns (Lou and Pen's collective name) retrieving. They saw it as me playing about rather than actually training... Gundog folk are a tad strange.. the older ones anyway. - Mishka'sMom wrote:

Well we speculate - she was advertised as Lab x collie but there's not an ounce of lab in her. Now and again we see a hint of Staffie. Best £5/ $7 ever spent. |
