Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| I wanted to drop in and say HI. We just got our almost 9 week old husky, I have been reading tons on the site because we are new to owning a husky. Very good information! We had a wonderful almost 10 year old Choc Lab (since he was 8 weeks old) that we had to put to sleep last month, one week he was fine and the next week he could barely walk, took him to the vet to find out he had Bone Cancer. Broke my families heart to make such a hard decision like that. A few days later my husbands co-worker started sending pictures to my husband of this adorable Husky pup that he was willing to give us. Of course we fell in love with him through the pictures and decided to go see him a week later. A pile of fluffy puppies sure did our broken heart some good. My kids 15, 11 and 7 were in love and we couldn't say no after meeting him. He was the only one not spoken for, the smallest and a little on the shy side. We have had him ..Nanook..just shy of 2 weeks now and he is a bundle of energy now and so BIG!! He is almost house broken, walking on a leash ( trying to break the pulling habit...he wants to run!!) He is also sitting and coming on command, working on the bitting and "leave it"...not his favorite one LOL I look forward to getting to know everyone here.

| I love the markings under Nanook's eyes, reminds me of the grease that football players put under their eyes! Such a cutie! |

| We almost named him Cooper because Alice Cooper always had those marks under his eyes LOL...the kids did not go for it at all. I am already thinking we need to get a 2nd pup because he is so darn cute and has such a personality...I want to multiply it by 2x. |
