If you could, keep my parent's dog in your thoughts and prayers.

We've had Maggie for 15 years and she's been a fantastic dog. My mom called my today and said that she hasn't been acting like herself, has been gagging on and off all day, and hasn't kept any food down. They're taking her to the vet in the morning and I hope it's nothing too serious. She's been in relatively good health the last few years, but she's definitely slowed down a lot recently.

I hate being at school and not able to go home to see her. If you could all say a quick prayer, or keep her in your thoughts, we'd appreciate it.

Felt like I needed to share with people who know what this is like. Thanks guys.

My dad took her to the vet about an hour ago, so I should hear something soon.

Not yet. They ended up keeping her today (both my parents work today) to keep an eye on her and run blood tests.

My mom said she'd call when she'd heard something, but nothing yet. I'll call her in a little bit. They close at 5, so we should hear soon.

Just called my mom. Mags is alright. They said her white count is elevated, so they gave her some antibiotics. One of her kidneys is enlarged and her intestines are slightly enlarged.

They seem to think everything is fine though. Said to keep her on a bland diet for a few days and when we ween her back on kibble to feed her several times a day instead of just twice.

My mom said she's acting more like herself and kept some food down today. Very relieved for the most part!
