How old is it for a typical husky to get full grown. I know each one is probably different but is there a general age? Koda is 7 months and weighs 50lbs and 22 inch. So he is in standard but he just seems short to me for how thick he is. Do you think he will still grow or is that about it! He hasnt got any bigger in the past month really.

My male is almost 3 years old and he is 22in.  and weight about 54 lbs.. I really can't say about yours.  Just a FYI.

My female past 3 years now weights about 47 lbs and is about 21 in. and she is thicker than the male.

I think Koda still has some growing to do, a lot of times Huskies will have one last little growth spurt between 12-15 months. Ghost put on at least 1/2 inch during that time, and she started filling out around the time she turned 2. She looked super skinny and lanky, and then all of a sudden she started looking a little more solid. She's 23" and ~45 lbs at 2 years and 2 months.

Hayden has pretty much stayed the same size since he was about 10 months old. His weight varies a lot from season to season (about 10-15 pounds) from 55-almost 70 lbs and 28".

Nicky has been the same size since she was about 8 months old, which is right around 39 pounds at 22".

Brandi is a short stocky little thing. I haven't checked on her weight or height recently, but she's still growing quite a bit.

Sabaka's vet chart shows that he has been somewhere between 50 and 51 pounds since he was 7 months old. Actually his heaviest was at 7 months! He grew fast and then just stopped...

Yuki hasn't changed from 7 to 11 months, like Meredith said Koda might freeze for a little bit and hit that last growth spurt later on. I hope Yuki hits one Razz

Baron is 10 months old now (can't believe he is almost a year), and weighs 45-50 lbs. and is 24 inches tall from his paws to the top of his shoulder. He had his biggest growth spurt between 4 and 7 months old.

His mom was pretty small for a husky, she weighed roughly 40 lbs. and was roughly 20 inches tall. His dad on the other hand, was probably 27 inches tall and weighed somewhere around 60 lbs., he was a beast of a dog.

Hailey: Your pup's dam was not small for a husky. Standard for bitches is 20"-22" and 35-45 pounds. Petite, maybe, but perfectly inside the standard. Smile

Balon continued to grow up until, well now lol. He is 65 lbs and tall though I haven't measured him. He has definitely gotten thicker and fuller in body structure. He is approximately 17 months old. I figure he's done.

Sounds like the conversations we're having around our house with Shadow. She's 29 lbs at just shy of 16 weeks, and the vet is guessing 60-70 lbs as her final weight... Shocked

Koda was 30 lbs also at 16 weeks. That is what made me think he will be at the higher end of the standard or even over it. But like everyone said he still has time to level out.

I'm curious what Dizzy is at right now. It's been 2.5 weeks since I weighed him and he was 22.5 lbs. Seems like he's had a major growth spurt in the last week though, and before that he was gaining about 2 lbs a week. Maybe I'll swing by the vets office tonight to see where he's at.

Do you have a scale at home? If you so just weigh yourself, then pick dizzy up and subtract your weight from it.

No scale at home, but the vet office is only 2 blocks away and the scale is in the front, so I can just walk in and weigh him there. Smile

See Nova was 19.5 pounds a week ago at 5 and a half months, so we are really curious as to when she will stop growing too, and how much bigger she will get. Everyone asks if shes a mini :/

that's how I am with Yuki. She's been ranging from 34 to 36 pounds since 7 months old and is now 11 months and 35 pounds. I'm like are you gonna grow.. or no? Weird thing is parents are 52 and 65 so I'm wondering how she turned out so small!

I don't know anything about Mya's parents sizes but she'll go through spurts of only eating like a cup and a half of food a day then she'll want to eat like 3 cups so she goes from on and off growth spurts all the time. She's starting to loose teeth now too so I'm finding them all over the place. She just seems so small for her age.

Our vet told us that at around 5-6 months they are half the size they will be when they are full grown but I'll be surprised if Nova reaches 40 pounds, shes just so much smaller than the other huskies we've run into around her age

See, my vet told me that they grow the most in their first six months and then there's just a small increase over time until they're 18 months. I don't know if I'd believe the doubling. There's no way Mya will get to 40 pounds...
