The one thing I get a lot is "look snow dogs" sometimes i wish i could move somewhere that it is normal to see them so people won't freak out LOL I will just get the girls focused and then some person will come up and try to pet them and talk to me and mess everything up.

Huskies are all over Colorado, I have seen about 4 other ones being walked in my area, and it's still asked about snow dogs, alaskan husky, malamute, blah blah blah.. and people are still afraid of them! In AZ people were actually a lot less sketched out by them oddly enough.

Today I got "Here comes Jack London" when I was out walking Bodhi.
Had to laugh as it was quite clever actually.

I've gotten the fox and coyote question more than a few times over the years. The coyote I could understand somewhat...but the fox.

i got the "are you seriously walking a coyote and keeping it as a pet" the other day, uhhh no i'm walking my husky and she is a pet.

What annoys me most is the looks I get when I unload the dogs at like the park or something. Like i'm some freak show. People always go Sshhhhh look at all those dogs! And then they stand their mouths open wide looking like a bunch of idiots.

OMG I had the best one tonight.....

Drunk guy - "That's a pretty husky...I use to raise huskies a long time ago. They're really high strung?"

Me - "Yes they are energetic, He is my 3rd husky."

DG - "Oh so you know. You're in for a lot of trouble. Blue eyes right?"

Me - "No brown."

DG - shaking his head, "That's why you got him cheap then."


So first off I didn't mention how much I paid for him and secondly, I hate when people don't think full blooded huskies can have brown eyes. BTW he then asked me if I knew what time the liquor store closed lol.

We walked past a little girl (approx 8 years old) on our walk a few weeks ago, and she said "Hi doggies! Hi werewolves!"

Alright, the werewolves is a bit funny coming from a kid hehe! It never crosses my mind that someone's dog is a wolf or might be part wolf...people act like we're being taken over by the dangerous wolf dog nation! BEWARE LOL!!! Judging from this thread, I have selected the correct forum to join

I didn't get any weird comments around here about Loki but husky's aren't that uncommon around here, but I do get some ridiculous ones when I take Demon anywhere. People are soo afraid of him it totally cracks me up. Hubby and I call him our "sheep in wolf's clothing". He's such a person loving (especially kids) big baby.
