| Right now i have a 7 week old husky, and a cage from our other dogs that is big enough for a full grown dog. (probably about 42 inch?) he has been sleeping in it for about 2 weeks, but has only sucessfully gone two nights without peeing or pooping in there. (he rarely poops in there, only when i assume he absolutely can not hold it which iss good, but alost always pees)
i know hes still young and his bladder muscles arnt devolped yet, i take him out at 9, 12, sometimes 3 then he wakes me up at 530 with pee in his cage and howling.
would it be better for me to get a smaller crate/ some how block this one in half so its a more appropriate size? would he be more comforatable and safe feeling in it, and would that help with cage soiling and the whining a little bit? i feel like after a 2 weeks he shouold be a little more used to it. if i should block it off, how do i go about doing that? |

| I would just get a crate divider, you can probably find one on amazon just make sure you measure right and get the appropriate size. They're pretty easy to put in and cheaper than buying crates as the pup grows. |

| The divider as Megan suggested or you can put a box in the cage to block off the back half. Whatever works to keep the cage smaller so he doesn't have room to potty in it. |
