Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

Whenever I'm home, my 'kid' follows me EVERYWHERE. If I go outside, he goes outside. If I'm working in the garage, he goes into the garage.

Its not a bad thing, but its funny because the minute I decide to sit next to him, he will get up and walk away, lol.

The only place he doesn't go is upstairs, because its about 8-10 degrees warmer up there and he doesn't like that heat.

Same with my dog.

You are attractive to him, like a predator is attracted to prey. So when you try to touch him or approach him, it throws him off balance. Same with my dog most of the time, not always though.

This can very much come in handy with training and bonding if you utilize it strategically.

Hey...Ami has a twin lol!

He is our shadow, right up until you try to sit beside him then he bounces up and goes in the other room Rolling Eyes Husband gets offended at times - particularly when Ami seems to be inviting a belly rbu....we start rubbing his belly from a standing position, then to get more comfortable, sit down beside him. Up he bounces and into the other room, lies down...

Make one wonder "did I forget to use deodarant today?"

I call Loki, Velcro-dog. He is everywhere that I am. He even jumped into the shower with me a few weeks ago. But, like you said, I go to sit down by him, sometimes he gets up and moves a little out of reach.

These guys sure do have an interesting personality. Smile

I recently installed a dog door and a dog run (the door opens into the dog run) at my new house.

Before I had the dog door, he would cry if I left him outside.

Now that I have the dog door, it seems he would prefer sleeping outside! Lol!

We installed a door bell.  Now Ami rings it when he wants us to come out and play Does anyone else's husky do this? 1625187496   many nights, I think he would prefer to sleep outside... sometimes I have to leash him to get him IN the house.  When Archer is here, he rings to come in the house, Ami rings to get Archer to come back out.  They stand in the doorway... you come in, no, you come out.  Then my ears ring as husbands hollarrs "shut the f#$$% door".

So it sounds like your boy fits right in lol!

That is so funny... never thought I'd see Ami do that, but this morning I went in to tell Wayne his breakfast was ready and Ami followed right in... and got extra super friendly with Wayne, trying ng to get all those soap suds off. Which led to the big boy getting booted out, pronto lol!

I wish mine were like that outside....They both follow me around the house, but outside, I am always worried that Sinatra will get out of our yard (I am paranoid as he has escaped a few times). Going to start wearing a meat scented perfume outside to keep him beside me!!! Razz JK
