Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| So sad. The emaciated abused husky found barely alive in Montana. We've been following and the news has hit us hard. Looked like she was going to make it but she had an undiagnosed diaphagmatic hernia. Eating a full meal pushed through the tear and initiated a fatal cascade of events. Not expecting such grief for a dog we've never met |

| Nooooo I'm so sad. Here, in San Diego, a man was arrested about a week or two ago, for tormenting his neighbors and abusing their two dogs, both Siberian Huskies. Unspeakable abuse, burning their faces with acid, gauging one of the huskies eyes out. They keep showing pictures of these two beautiful beautiful huskies on the news, with their scarring. I believe both huskies have passed away. The judge set bail at 1 million dollars and refused to lower it because of the extent of torment and abuse this man inflicted on the dogs and their family. It breaks my heart and makes me so sick that animals have to endure things like this. |

| A dog in as bad a shape as she was I would have thought they would have done full body x-rays to catch something like that. Sad and seems like an unnecessary oversight. Not a fun way to go but with what that dog had been through perhaps it's best that she's not in pain anymore. Events like this don't ever go away. Not even once they are "healed". My friend recently had to put her dog down because he was abused so horribly by his original owner. They had beaten him badly and while he bounced back in his younger years he aged very fast from it and his final days were miserable before they put him down at just 8 years old, which is so young for a cattle dog. Human beings are the worst species to ever walk this earth and it's sad for as "intelligent" as we supposedly are, that it is this way. We do disgusting things to each other and animals for seemingly nothing more than ego, sick curiosity, etc. _________________ |

| Jenn, I think cash was the issue but not sure. Also could be isolation
Everybody just give your furbabies am extras hug today, maybe a longer on the walk. I'm not sure Z'ev quite understood why I was holding him so tight last night. Or why Wayne was crying.
Think I have to edit my fb page for a while. |
