Then this am i got an email cancelling my order.  Checked the prepaid card i got for using online and the chargefor chewy is  is now 2 charges. One for the thing i got and the second charge was done by chewy 3 hours AFTER they canceled my order. So now no harness or toys or money. Never used them before never will again.  For all the emails i get from them wanting my business they failed epicly

Call them. This is highly unusual. They have always been reliable, responsible and ethical for me. They've refunded my money when the dogs refused to eat a food, when a crate rusted within a month. This is totally unlike them, give them a second chance and call.

they really didnt have a good answer and said it could be up to a week before i get the money refunded followed by that its just pending it hasnt actually been taken off so im not even sure where the 35 dollars is. But they did blame coronavirus and that i get but i really think something is off with the "hold" not hitting the card until 2 hours after they canceled the order. I called my bank and they said to give it until Tuesday to be reversed.
I dont see how a "hold" would need a refund. Im just glad i dont really need the $35 this moment. My ability to deal with people on the phone is one of my weaker points.

I just ordered a computer for my sister so she could work at home ( or lose her job) has been a major hassle. Because I was paying for with my card and have it shipped to a different name on a different state, discover sent us a fraud alert and declined the charge. We called them, they said order again and they would approve. Nope. Another fraud alert. Then I see where had TWO computers going, one billed to me and one billed to a third sister who can actually get packages delivered. Got one cancelled. Then today, find out both canceled, fraud alert again. So ordered again and used a different card. We shall see. She's really fragile economically, no kids, lives alone so I'm quite worried about her.

There is this big race to get her seat up before the next work from home training. Which requires a web cam. Which are almost not available from any source at any price. Finally got one from Amazon. Don't recognize the brand, more than I wanted to pay but promised delivery within time frame. Most of the others are June July. Suspect coming from China and that is the holdup.

Webcam trick is get something cross compatible xbox and playstation both have webcams that will also work on a computer. And most new computers have a webcam.

So Walmart.com banned my mother for fraud. It wasnt fraud, was 100% authorized but they had issues with an Israeli billing address being shipped to a us address.

Lately everything ive tried to find on Amazon has been a failure.

Unfortunately, her computer has to be a desktop. Very few stand alone monitors, even bought separately and not bundled, have webcams. My windows 7 laptop has a webcam but neither of the desktops do. Which is sort of funny. We have used video chat a few times through fb messenger but on my phone. Which is really small when your looking at a whole family Rolling Eyes I don't use the laptop hardly at all since I got my S9 phone. Dawned on me while shopping for a webcam that, duh, video chat with kids will be a lot easier if I used the laptop.

But. Now, except for a surge protector, a decent keyboard (I have yet to like a keyboard that comes bundled with a computer!) and a mouse, she's all set. Her employer has a list of requirements for home agent, one of which is a real desk and ergonomic office chair.

Shopping everywhere has been a hassle. Passover this year was a bust. I could not get a grocery slot starting 10 days before the beginning, Amazon did have a 2 pack of gluten free matzah meal so we were able to have one of our favorites: Pesadich Bulkie Rolls (basically make cream puff shells out of matzah meal, serve them hot and dripping with butter bounce bounce bounce ) No charoset, no chopped liver, no chicken soup with knaidles (though I found some parsnips coming up in the garden from last year and I think I have a package of chicken leg quarters in the bowels of my freezer...) But most missed - no Passover Matzah Crunch. I love that stuff. Like crack, it is Razz If you don't have matzah, you can use saltine crackers.

https://toriavey.com/toris-kitchen/chocolate-toffee-matzo-crunch/

I did, however, score a 120 piece box of Lindt 60% dark chocolate truffles. Wayne has 2 per day and I have one. A sinful treat, savored with a cup of coffee I love you

Otherwise, we are tolerating isolation quite well. Not sure which part of the day is up these days (though Ami helped with that this morning, very early this morning, I might add Rolling Eyes Enjoying old NCIS reruns. My plant stand is now filled except for 1 tray that I will seed tomorrow. The snow dump we got last night was gone by 2 so I can putter a little bit tomorrow in the garden. And time to start hardening the onions. Gave them a haircut today, though I'd have some clippings for a pan of scrambled eggs or two. Wow, did I underestimate. A half gallon of clippings!

I havent done passover since 2007 when my mom decided to move back to Israel. And i think outside tourist season im the only real jew in the county. We have a handful of jews for jesus and they have invited me for passover and ive turned them down every year. I dont miss the all day service at the table after the all morning service at the shul. And i have an egg allergy so i definitely dont miss the passover hives. I cannot imagine a gluten free passover although thats what my m9m does. My whole family is anti gluten except me and i really dont do starch or carbs unless its candy. Gotta have my priorities.

I always forget how much longer passover last in the us. I. Israel its like 4 days instead of a week.

I cannot imagine an egg allergy during Passover! We, too, are the only Jews in the county. There is a conservative shul next county east, south of us, I think the conservative and Orthodox shul merged. There is enough of a population, the no formal shul, in the county where my preferred grocery store is that they do carry some selection of Passover foods. General, between all three counties, over the course of a month's shipping, I am able to gather most, if not all, of the things we want. With just the two of us, now, I've thought about attending a community Seder but we did go to one years ago, very expensive, lousy food, we didn't know anybody and, now, with all my food allergies/gluten sensitivity, not sure how much I could eat anyway. Kind of sad, now, the only family member who is in a position to host such a thing, has alienated the rest of the family. Wayne won't have anything to do with her and I have specific instructions to prohibit get from his funeral should he go first. My family is not Jewish.

Long ago, when Wayne's mom was still alive and our kids were still local, we had a Seder with some of their Jewish friends from college. We added tables to the kitchen table, packed is all in, was quite fun. Ironically, the most memorable part of the occasion was, with a house full of guests, and heavy rain, our aged septic system decided to fail that weekend 😳. The joke was, don't look when you do your business 😬

So we also have this population of Catholic Hispanics that are descendants of jews that fled spain for Mexico during the inquisition. They actually observe both passover and easter and keep kosher for passover so finding passover stuff isnt that hard. But when my mom comes she has to go grocery shopping like 4 hours away to get kosher meat.

There. We don't keep kosher, so that isn't a problem. But, I think, with the college population in the county west of us, kosher messy can actually be found in the grocery store.

Most stuff is actually kosher at the grocery store. Meat is generally an issue though. According to my mother Singapore was more religious jew friendly then Colorado. At least trout is kosher because i can get that anywhere. My mom was talking to the elk ranch about getting kosher elk until she realized she couldn't ship it to Israel.

Weird kosher fact of the day.... giraffe is kosher and hebrew national hot dogs are not.

My chewy stuff has been running way behind. Have considered swapping to Only Natural Pet for a bit possibly to diversify my ordering. I'm only ordering food but they are running around 2 weeks behind now, but no cancellations yet for not having what I ordered at least. I've tried to order far enough in advanced that I don't run out of anything before the next shipment arrives. Since mine get partial raw I can luckily go a long time without an order if I need to. We may only be home another week before we open back up here and go back to work and it's harder to do raw for their morning meal when I have to drive in for work.

What is going on with chewy is unacceptable. Way behind i get, but canceling the order and trying to hold my money i dont get. Still no refund, they are giving me a whole bunch of bullshit this am. Told me give it until Friday. The peice of shit company has had my money since the 4th. Still 0 explanation as to why the charge hit the card 2 hours exactly (i checked timestamps) after they canceled the order. And the icing on the cake was when i asked to talk to a supervisor this am they hung up on me twice. So i sent a very formal email complaint along with a threat about filing a complaint with the bbb. It was for a harness for splinter and a scented football for shadow.

They dont carry essence yet so i get 5 bags of food every other month in winter and 2 bags a month the rest of the year. The pass can be a bitch though so when the last bag gets opened i start planning the Durango/pagosa springs dispensary/food/dog food trip.

So yeah i will definitely NOT ever order anything from chewy again.

Emily, so sorry for all the struggles with Chewy, i have never had any issues with them. I do auto ship and they are behind on that but have sent plenty of emails giving me a heads up how they have my food set aside to not sell to anyone else but shipping is taking 7-10 days vs. 3. i will say they charged my card 3 days ago, its been pending in my account and i got an email last night the food shipped so i will see if it moves to a charge now.

sorry to also hear about shadow. good luck with everything

I really should have known it was going to problem the second they said fed ex. Fed ex will not deliver to my house, they leave stuff at the post office, but never at the right post office ot always ends up in creede or center. So now they are blaming the card i used, and im letting jerry handle it.

Is it bad that shadow goes the the vet next monday andi already have 2 vets to look at the xrays as a 2nd and 3rd opinion. Im worried that i looked up the price of a double hip replacement and its not something i could afford. Im catastrophizing but dog surgery is expensive and my vet is expensive for anything involving sedation or anaesthesia.

And to top it all off i feel like shadows problems escalating os my fault. He gained like 15lbs when i neutered him last oct and i didnt cut back his food even though i underfeed him according to the bag.
