The boys i babysit absolutely adore squirt. When i watch them on the weekends i bring her with me. Lately the spot to go is the sledding hill. The 11 year old has been determined that squirt is going to ride in the sled with him instead of running down next to him. Yesterday he convinced her to ride in the toboggan. I would swear she looked embarrassed, like she was saying huskies dont ride in sleds. She did 3 total runs. 2 with the 11 yr old and 1 with me and both boys. Then she pulled the almost 7 yr old around on ice skates over at the skating area.

Its really funny though how she runs next to the sled and then jumps on whoever is on it to make sure they are ok when they come to a stop or fall off. Usually if a kid hits the big ramp, the kid goes one way and the sled goes another.

Kenzi just has zero interest in being out in the snow. Kye hates the cold but if snow is on then he wants out but only because he likes to eat it for some reason. No way would anyone ride on anything. We have perfect sledding hills and we have yet to ride them. Had plenty of snow for it and have thought about it but when the time comes I just haven't dug out yet. We hit 70 yesterday. Ground still frozen solid though.

Mine love the cold and the snow but not the wind. Sucks for them we live at the intersection of 2 giant canyons. I spent alot of effort teaching squirt NOT to pull but even if that wasnt the case the snow was slushy because it was over 50 and shes almost 10. Im really not trying to kill her. Her sledding norm is i out her on a 50 ft lead and the kids hold it and she runs down next to the sled and then they use a caribeener and she pulls the empty sled back up and the kids run up the stairs. And repeat that for about 4 hours every sunday. I really thought after the first time on a lap in a toboggan would also be the last time. I dont think she liked it, but she likes P more.

Its 64 today and everything is muddy and flooded because about 6 inches down is still frozen. I might have lost a raspberry bush, my strawberries, and the chives. Im even worried about whatever type of species roses i have growing. Everything is turning green really early. I even saw 3 flies yesterday. I dont know what going to die when it drops below 0 and snows friday. Hopefully the flies

Think we are calling for ice now this Friday, which always makes getting the dogs down the stairs out of the house interesting. Originally they were thinking 8 inches of snow.
